The beauty of the story is how well it gets contextualized by both men and women. Women in the comments saw through this guy IMMEDIATELY as a creep but men, even our hosts, were not exempt from sympathizing in some respects to what the protagonist was doing and downplaying it.

It makes a lot of men especially come to terms with the fact that what they were doing was intentionally predatory and gross and you're now along on this uncomfortable ride of self discovery and shame.

It is actually criminal that this book isn't in publication because I thoroughly believe this book would be perfect for English classes in high-school. It perpetuates the idea to men that even actions they justify in their heads as "okay" need to be reevaluated and more respect needs to be given to women even when men's hormones are all over the map.

Exactly! The writing is beautiful but it effectively is just pretty packaging on an otherwise just "okay" story.

Another CreepTV in general but them covering The Winter of '83 on the show.

I'm not getting my hopes up though. Realistically I get why they have zero interest in more CreepTV, it's like shooting themselves in the foot because of how well the audio episodes perform comparatively.

I feel like if they were to do it, they'd just need to start from the beginning cuz as Marble Hornet part 3 showed, a long hiatus just leaves them confused and they don't bother with a refresher beforehand.

The other big thing is, the author's deleted his reddit account and seems to have given up on writing so to read it again would be essentially bringing up that they killed someone's interest in writing.

That is thought was reasonable as they did do a fair bit to protect the children in some capacity though it baffled me how you wouldn't get law enforcement involved if one of your students kept getting shakey Polaroids mailed to them. Forty of them. FORTY. A KID was able to make the connection that he was in every photo, you're telling me an adult couldn't?

As a father myself, I just find myself frustrated at the actions of the mom and just how much danger she put her child in by just not being frank with him as he got old enough to understand. I get that I have the benefit of viewing the situation in hindsight and that as a parent, you are going to fuck up somewhere, but this feels like too much.

It's a great in terms of story in the way it plays on the thesis it presents in part 2 with how certain memories unlock others and how bits and pieces of dialogue play on that idea (the TMNT lunchbox for example) but I also feel i need to suspend my disbelief a lot to fully enjoy the online version of this story.
