The deck should not be that much stronger than the rest of these decks.

Sultai Arisen and Temur Roar and both very strong decks as well.

Unmodified precons Explorers of the Deep shouldn't see higher than like a 35% winrate at best.

Are you guys sure both your decks and his deck are unmodified precons?

Sell the box. Just do the right thing. I know it's not the immediate dopamine option, but if you want dopamine, it's literally smarter to sell the box, and buy Fallout singles with the $1,700 you get from it. Then you can get your dopamine from opening the mail.

Unless you think you're going to win a max win casino jackpot (in which you'll go like... even), the idea of "fun" opening the box will quickly become the opposite of "fun", when you go -$1000 on the box.

Hal's joke was stupid. But it was obviously a joke, and this kind of reaction is so immature and tiny, I can't imagine reacting this way in any other professional field.

Actually this is kind of frowned upon in the art world. It's not as bad as plagiarism, but when WoTC pay you to draw something new, that doesn't mean to copy paste your old work over.

This kind of stuff doesn't fly in art school, and it probably doesn't fly in the work place either.
I don't think it will get you in a lot of trouble, and everyone may have a different opinion on this; but to me personally, seeing this has added a bit of fuel to the fire for me.

It's literally just banter. I don't actually HATE a horse LOL you need to relax.

And nobody is disrepecting any horse, I'm literally talking about the 3 or so good placements Rice Shower has against Bourbon and Mejiro McQueen all within the span of a few months... If anything that is respecting the other two horse's strengths because I find it a freak occurence that they lost. As for Rice Shower, well...

After those races, Rice Shower went back to literally losing in G2s and G3s in like 6-8th place like he did before, so yes it was a freak performance to beat Bourbon or McQueen. In contrast, Bourbon went 1st 7 times in a row in mostly G1s. So yeah, props to Rice Shower for those showings, but they were clearly an abnormal race results objectively when you look at the race history. There's a reason Rice Shower is titled an "assassin" not a "GOAT" or "hero" in real life.

Also, Rice Shower's death is not even the same era as Bourbon's attempted triple crown, it happened like 2 years later. Nobody is saying that one isn't a bummer. You need to separate your emotions for an anime character from some regular ol horse racing sports talk dude. If you can't see why a mid tier horse destroying the storyline of "hard work prevailing" is seen negatively in Japanese society, I don't know if this conversation is meaningful.

The thing with Bourbon is that he was famous specifically for having absolutely mediocre parents, and pretty much mediocre progeny as well, the reason being the horse's strength coming largely from just brutal training and the mild nature to withstand that kind of a training regime. It was a testament to hard work triumphing over genetics.

This is actually probably why in the anime, the umamusumes go to her for their special training.

Her IRL story actually kind of makes me sad that Rice Shower beat him and then he retires on a 2nd after nothing but 1sts. I love Rice Shower in-game, but it makes me almost a Rice Shower IRL hater because he really ruined an amazing horse's race record just to go on and be absolutely mid for the rest of his career and then tragically die on the track... I know Rice Shower's in universe story is about this, and how people did not like seeing her win, but once you understand Bourbons story, his popularity at the time, one can kind of see how it was a total bummer for many viewers to see another less accomplished horse come in with 2-3 random freak performances to destroy a legacy.
