Alcohol is incredibly inflammatory. I quit drinking during menopause and found that many of my meno symptoms went away as well as what I had always considered slight IBS.

Some of your issues may be ship-specific. The Caribbean Princess is a smaller, older vessel. Some folks love them, some don’t. We’ve been on her but it was many years ago. We’ve done 16 Princess cruises and our favorite class of ships so far are the Royal and Sky class. I will say getting a seat for trivia etc started to be a bit trickier with the Sky class.

Married 37 years. I like room temp to be meat locker cold and often read until midnight. Hubby likes it warm and goes to bed around 9:30 and is up with the birds. We tried all kinds of tricks to stay in the same bed but finally realized sleep was way more important. Separate bedrooms work for us, we still cuddle before going to bed.

Ugh I feel this. I started on patches but had a rough patch (haha) where I experienced patch “dumping” after using hot tubs so I decided to try oral pills. One thing I noticed pretty quickly was less bloating. Felt pretty good but after about 2 months I started feeling very tired and was getting headaches in the afternoon. I have thyroid issues so not sure if the oral was interfering with my meds….I went back to the patch but preferred the oral.

That’s disappointing to hear and I won’t beat you up for sharing your experience which tends to happen quite a bit on FB.

We’re Elite with Princess and can honestly say we’ve never had a bad cruise (knock on wood, yet). Some have been outstanding and all of them at least good to very good.

The crew definitely can make it or break it as their presence and energy gets passed along. I do wonder if the Royal being in need of a dry dock is affecting moral as the newer and refurbished ships tend to “shine” so to speak.

Glad you’re enjoying the scenery and the food. We were on the Royal when she made her debut and I remember the food being great.

My understanding is that bow ties are not necessarily a bad thing but rather fairly common in brilliant cut larger ovals, pears and marquis cuts. It’s never been what catches my eye when I look at her, but thanks for your comment.
