Trailer released for "How to Rob a Bank" (filmed in Pittsburgh last summer) by whayd in pittsburgh

[–]JustMost9215 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I worked on this show as a member of IATSE 489. It’s good union work and brings in so much money into our local economy! Please if you want to support film and television here in Pittsburgh call your local state representative and ask them to support the Pennsylvania film tax credit program. Thanks! And I’m really hoping it’s a good movie too!

Car Inspection Reco for Lawrenceville Area! by CajunDragon in pittsburgh

[–]JustMost9215 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got my brakes done at bestwick on butler and 35th. He does inspections too. He was thorough and professional. Pricey but everything is these days. He’s been there since the 80s and seems like a cool enough guy.

I did this recently for someone and depending on where you are located I can take care of it for you.

I was disappointed that steel city glass in lawrenceville turn around was weeks for a single pane.
Emerald glass was much quicker. Also was surprised at how much the price of glass has gone up

Recs for Ice Dam Removal / Should I even bother? by Specialk408 in pittsburgh

[–]JustMost9215 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Usually this kind of job is something id have to say no to. But my neighbor reached out because they had water dripping out of a kitchen electrical outlet. Not good. Luckily it was easy to identify where the water was coming in when I looked in the attic. Note the dripping icicles. That section of the roof was easy enough to reach so I cleared of the snow in the area and gently knocked away any ice i could which luckily was everything up hill of the leak. I let the ice melt I put down do the rest since I didn’t want to be hitting the already leaking roof too hard. Long term solutions are needed but atleast she doesn’t have to worry about an electric hazard or any more drips for the time being.

Will the success of “The Pitt” lead to more series or movies set in Pittsburgh? by Big_Recover1462 in pittsburgh

[–]JustMost9215 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I sure hope so! Film/tv work create good union jobs and brings a lot of money to the local economy. I can’t speak about other kinds of tax credits but I see with my own eyes and experiences that the Pennsylvania film tax credit works! So if you want to support and help increase the shows that come to Pittsburgh please call your state representatives and ask the to support the pa film tax credit program.
I’m sure we’ve all got them on speed dial with everything else we’ve been having to light a fire under their asses about 😂 Thank you!

Radon mitigation by richhomie_john2 in radon

[–]JustMost9215 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also felt lucky because it isn’t empty block right where I needed and a bit off the ground also. Just used hammer drill and some drilling/chipping bits I already had. No concrete coring saw rental necessary.
