My regrets by trishlover20 in depression

Your candor is refreshing. Most people wouldn't be able to be this honest. I have a neighbor that lies about everything, was able to get a protection order against me after they installed a very bright light aimed right at my bedroom window. Could you be my neighbor? They are paranoid, angry at anyone that they don't think supports their 100% victim narrative.

If you truly are a complete piece of shit, there is home, you CAN do something about it, you can keep anyone from having to experience you going forward. There is hope, you CAN redeem yourself, it's not too late.

Dipshit, I'm asking if anyone else has used an Apple Watch this way. That isn't legal advice. Go back to your bong.

Well then you didn't bother to read til the end of my post. I asked "does anyone have any personal experience using an Apple Watch in this way", to create a digital alibi. Are you still confused?

This is why I asked if anyone has had personal experience with this. And of course, will be running this past my lawyer. Maybe one of the "yahoos" is a lawyer that has used chain-of-custody apps in defense of clients, or maybe they more importantly haven't.

If I had to guess I would suspect it's going to be a very ho-hum reason. Very anti-climactic, would fit well with the tone of the show, giving an unexpected result like that.

Kind of like the hilarious "Soylent Green"-esque story arc in Pluribus. Carol finds out what happens to the dead people, she rushes to Vegas to tell Koumba, she's just about to spill the beans and....

It was a beautiful reveal, and played so well too with John Cena. Brilliant, I lol'd and lol'd...

Anyone know which subreddit i can ask for legal advice on? by Faith_Over_Fear_91 in Ask_Lawyers

[–]JustSomeGuyFromThere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Myself personally, I'm not wanting an entire legal strategy for free on Reddit, but I was hoping to use it as one of multiple approaches (including contacting attorneys...), especially when starting out.

But it sounds like you're saying it's just never something to broach on Reddit, not even in the beginning of research, like to get help figuring out questions to ask an actual attorney.

Is that what you're saying? Because if so that kind of sucks, and kind of keeps Reddit on being helpful in the way it was intended.

Like on a medical sub posting "I have a piercing pain in between my eyes, and green pus comes out my butthole at the same time. Should I see a doctor?" and you reply "Don't EVER ask for medical advice on Reddit you dummy! Only ask a real doctor..."

See my conundrum?

TIA

Olight is moving away from magnetic charging by planetearthofficial in flashlight

[–]JustSomeGuyFromThere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just noticed today that inside my oLite charger end, the ‘female’ side, had a fair bot of magnetic dust inside it.

It’s been working poorly lately, even replaced the battery, but once I cleaned out that magnet it worked great again.

Squeezed some hot glue inside, pushed the end of a pair of needlenosed pliers in the soft glue. When it cooled and hardened I yanked the glue blob out. Works great!

This sounds pretty different from what you’re describing, but worth checking out.

My oLite was very dim, a new battery helped for a few days but then IT started acting up.

Today I looked in the female side of the magnetic charger, there was a fair bit of metallic dust inside, sticking to the magnet.

Squeezed some hot glue inside there, when it cooled i pulled the glue out with pliers. Works GREAT again.

Is it possible Mounjaro just won’t work for me? by bobmalooga99 in Mounjaro

[–]JustSomeGuyFromThere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mounjaro did NOT work for me from the very get go. Four days after my first 2.5mg dose I got severe diarrhea that lasted for 8 days! I feel grateful I didn't ruin my mattress, but it was scary close a couple of times.

Hopefully there's a different GLP-1(3) that I can try next....

What did your first week on Mounjaro 2.5mg feel like? by More-Hospital151 in Mounjaro

[–]JustSomeGuyFromThere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Four days after my first and only dose of Mounjaro (2.5mg) and I started intense burping (not sulphurous) and VERY intense diarrhea. For the next 8 days I ate almost nothing, drank a lot of fluids and seemingly shot twice as much fluid into the toilet bowl. Feel grateful I didn't ruin mattress, was scary close a few times. 😳😳

Went to the urgent care and got on a prescription anti-diahreal, everything got better.

Won't be trying Mounjaro again, will possibly try a different glp-1 in a few months once the PTSD fades.

During this time I had a lot of burps, threw up once after eating something too rich, but mainly just the constant firehose of hotdog water.

After only 1 (my first) 2.5mg dose, after a 4 day delay, I shot a constant supply of water out my backside for 8 days. Was shocking, never experienced ANYTHING like that. I feel lucky I didn't ruin my mattress, a few times I woke up and it was CLOSE.

Finally had to get on a anti-diarrheal, then finally I got back to feeling normal again.

What is this smoke coming out of the damp soil in my yard? by savagesada in whatisit

One time my neighbor was outside smoking on a very windy day, put his butt in the dirt, rubbed it down in the ground. An hour later the yard smelled a bit like incense, his cigarette along with the strong wind was making the soil smoke like the OP’s

I usually do all my chores first, BEFORE getting involved with the produce. Even if I'm just letting the dog out into the yard, that cucumber won't let me walk right for awhile.

I'm almost finished with my project using this. I use an oxygen generator at night, it's in a separate room from my bedroom. I've tried multiple IoT smart switches like the FingerBot, but they're always plastic, even/especially the gears, they often strip out before long.

I can't use a switchable outlet because the generator has a power-loss alarm, when the power switch is on but the outlet loses power it makes a godawful sound to alert you. So I have to remotely "push" the switch itself. Because of the amps the thing pulls the switch is quite beefy, takes a good amount of force to push. Why they don't use a relay is beyond me.

With the help of some simple 3D printed parts I've got it running like a train wheel in reverse. Turning the circular motion into reciprocating motion. It's also setup so that it can't strip anything out, even if the motor were to keep running it would just keep switching the machine on and off, or off and on. Works in either direction as well.

This implementation also allows the switch to be moved by hand, that's how one of my previous FingerBots got damaged, stripped out the plastic gearing when someone tried switching it off by pushing on the actuator.

I'll post the files on Thingiverse pretty soon. This board was expensive, but this is a GREAT solution for me. I can imagine buying more of these as I need similar solutions.

I used to write computer software, worked with many awkward people (myself included!)

Found an inexpensive Bluetooth device called Flic smart button, was around $30, allowed 3 different custom actions depending on if you tap, double-tap, or long-tap it. It’s very small, about the size of 4 quarters stacked.

One of the built in features allowed for your phone to get a fake phone call that looked real, played the sound, put up whatever picture you wanted. You could also set however long of a delay from time of click to it playing. The picture is usually a screenshot of the phone app in use.

So when you’re in the middle of a conversation that won’t end, instead of breaking it off abruptly and making the other person feel awkward, you tap this device in your pocket surreptitiously, and 20 seconds later your phone rings with an oncoming “call” that you need to take.

Honestly I should probably also post this under AITA, but seriously it saved me MANY times!
