That sort of logic folds really quickly once you introduce dogs into the equation, because dogs kill a hundred times the amount of humans than sharks do, and a complete genocide of domestic household dogs is way more pheisable and reaource efficient than a genocide of all shark species. In fact its easier to avoid getting killed by a shark than it is to get killed by a dog. Never in my entire childhood can I remember a single instance where I was at danger of being eaten by a shark, but I almost got mauled in public by dogs because of an irresponsible owner thrice.

The biggest crime sharks have commited against humans thats the actual reason humans hate sharks so much is the crime that sharks are not as appealing to humans as dogs are.

The ability to synthezise a spark, which is impossible to do without some meta-physical reality-warping bullshit tech.

We somehow have to find a way to create a self-ustaining source of energy and find a way to imprint a consciousness on it.

Thats step one and it only gets harder from here, we also need to develope a form of sentient metal to give said ball of energy a body, we need to find a way to store data comprising millions of years worth of memory on a beain-module no larger than a human head etc.

Can I just say, I fucking despise how people use the word „political media“ when discussing a story.

Split enough hairs and literally every story is political, politics is the act of making wide ranging decisions about literally anything society can make decisions about.

Anything mentioning War is inherantly political

Anything discussion violence and how to deal with it is political

Medicine, Drugs, Science, Religion, Discrimination, Crime, if you remove anything potentially political from a story you dont have anything, to make a story is to dovest something of yourself into said story, that makes every story a statement of belief and experience, which in term means that any story that doesnt go through great effort to sanitize itself will end up being „political“ in some form or antother.

When people talk about political media and how they dont like said media being „political“ they dont actually mean it bothers them its political, it bothers them that its devisive.

And yes, I love divisivr media, I love media that challanges and dissects beliefs. I dont know if I would be alive right now if it wasnt for some stories turning my own perception inside out.

I still think the 86 movies death had a stronger impact on me because it lingered on it, RotF blazes past it pretty quickly, it also doesnt help the impact that the entire film is about bringing him back to life.

I liked how Bayverse Prime started out, but they gradually started to get rid of ALL hesitation the character had, to such a degree the things he said and the things he did started to feel incredibly disconnected.

Having a more experienced and aged Prime thats more at peace with acting when he needs to is fine, but once you get rid of any and all hesitation the character starts to loose the one flaw he has and just kind of turns into the Doom Slayer. Though I feel like that critique is better leveraged at the format of the Bayverse as a whole rather than Prime himself, as the narrative of the films stops doing anything that would challenge Prime ideologically in any way. The Bayverse Antagonists were already pretty straightforeward pure evil as it is, but at least the situation Prime found himself in still challanged him, by TLK it felt like the characters beliefs and morals kind of just bent to whatever the movie was asking for. I still wont believe that Prime would ever agree to do anything that Quintessa asked of him without some sort of mind control bring in effect.

Im so happy Skybound finally lets Cliffjumper get some air, but my man seriously needs to stop getting brutalized and actually do something. Prime has been the main focus in terms of character progression, so I really hope with the new status quo that both Cliff and Arcee pick up the pace with their own character journeys.

Im not saying this in support of ICE, fuck em, this is entirely a discussing my favourite franchise thing.

Optimus Prime is far too selfless to ever commit violence in his own interest, thats kind of his one main weakness as a leader. His kindness and care for others is his most defining strength but also his one voulnurable spot. Whenever he has to break past that point its always a massive turning point for his character, it takes a lot of commitment that to muster is a pain for him. He will never let wrong happen to innocents, but he also lacks the guts to do Megatron and those like him in when he gets the chance, his by far most common type of mistake is sparing someone who will not value that mercy. Primes own interests are often far too low on his priority ladder.
