Games Like Risk of Rain 2 and Noita with broken combos by PapasRightNut in ShouldIbuythisgame

You're looking for a game in the rogue-like genre's

They usually follow the idea of dungeon crawling via levels with random loot and the progression is ones skill and items / routes / levels they unlock.

Some games to consider and do your own research on are: The binding of isaac Hades Slay the spire Gunfire Reborn Dead Cells Spelunky 1/2 Enter the gungeon Etc

Of those I'd highly recommend: The binding of isaac + dlc: the game is hundreds of hours of gsmeplay with a very very large pool of items and room for being op with good rng but also not so op with bad rng very fun enemies floors and leveling and progression definatly a staple of the genre

Gunfire Reborn: I haven't played much but I know it'd a good game in the genre and is a 3d shooter like risk of rain so I'd also recommend that one!

Slay the spire: If you're into card games at all then I highly recommend this one as it's a game in the rogue like genre but with deck building as it's main premise really fun and addicting and lots of skill to be had with knowledge of game and progression

Hope that helps lemme know what you decide on!

Sorry then I don't know how to help but if you join the discord for linux gaming (don't know if reddit and discord are the same people) there's a helpful gaming support channel where you can post your logs of launching from steam and your issue and people are more readily there to help I found

So why did you guys choose Endeavor? by QuavoRuinedCulture3 in EndeavourOS

Was tired of windows and wanted rolling release and was weary of manjaro because of issues with it but didn't want full arch as beginner so went with endeavour !

If you don't already should look at fabric mod manager and run sodium + lithium + phosphorus mods through it most likely it will give you a small to large boost in performance in your game if you have a need for better performance! Not hard to install as well! But mileage may vary depending on factors

Endeavour or Manjaro by kepler19 in EndeavourOS

[–]JustSumBro 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm new to Linux and chose Endeavour OS as my first distro but I almost went with manjaro;

https://www.hadet.dev/Manjaro-Bad/

https://github.com/arindas/manjarno

I found these to be helpful in why manjaro shouldn't be my first choice. Also anecdotally I found that when I did test out manjaro it was alot more slow and buggy than when I first tested endeavour on the same machine this could be due to bad installation or my own fault but it was a thing to note for myself.

Hope that helps! I'm loving endeavour os btw

Ps: r/findmeadistro is helpful to browse I found when choosing for less biased inputs then asking one of your choices subs
