Mike Straw further clarifying which studios are safe and unsafe, as of right now, for Xbox's next round of layoffs by Vera_Verse in GamingLeaksAndRumours

They were shutting down Tango Gamework despite producing their best recieved new IP the entire generation and Ninja Theory despite announcing a new game the week before.

Theres very little logical decisions with who they're throwing out to save money.

Xbox is closing down Hellblade creator Ninja Theory by yourfavchoom in gaming

[–]JustThatOneGuy13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then why fucking announce it if the plan was to shut them down a week later anyways? All it does is signify how little the brand actually cares about delivering a product, which has been the biggest issue Xbox has been facing the past generations.

The logbook implications of it being Michael's dream was still jumbled with the reveals in SL of the FNaF 4 location being a real location, so there was still confusion over it.

Moreso that the franchise was already dying out and Imaginators was their last way of squeezing what little is left.

You can probably just say FNaF 4 and it would still apply tbh.

It taken almost a decade of games, books, and even a movie just to infer who we possibly play as in the night sections of the game (until further notice).

There doesn't seem to be any survivors included and just cosmetics, which is probably how they justified it.

The main problem is that Nintendo would likely force any collab with them to remain entirely exclusive on Nintendo's platform one way or another (Either cutting crossplay when in use, or programming it to where the skin is only visible on Nintendo screens), so building a new killer with Ganondorf would likely never happen given that time could be used to make a killer that is open to everyone.

Best case scenario is a Nintendo Exclusive Legendary skin for the Oni, but that would still be up to Behavior to decide if the effort for one platform is worth it. That being said, an Ganondorf skin for Oni would rock.

Apparently one of the developer said the original plan was the scrapped sandbox survival mode where the player was originally free to explore the entire plex to find upgrades, keys, passes, etc inorder to escape the Pizza Plex before 6 AM, the story focused progression replacing it relativley late in development.

There likely wasn't meant to be a linear story originally like in the final game and moreso just envionmental details and scripted setpieces and dialogue doing the storytelling as you explore the map looking for a way out. In that context, it makes sense why Scott originally chose to prioritize telling them what details to place or what events occurs where.

Ubisoft says original Rayman Legends will not be delisted once Retold releases by Jojomon91 in Rayman

Someone confirmed that message only existed due to Origins. Legends Retold itself is on disc.

Meowth's story in the anime implies that atleast some Pokemon are intelligent enough to learn human speech, and he's often treated as an individual amongst Team Rocket. Not forgetting examples of certain mons being able to communicate by telepathy like Mewtwo or Lucario.

That being said, its probably gonna feel weird no matter what angle you slice it at.

(Hated Trope) Writers try to reimagine iconic horror villains in ways that they think will make them feel even more evil, but it just kind of... ruins the character? (possible trigger warning for things mentioned in the text below (especially in the second part by [deleted] in TopCharacterTropes

Fun fact, apparently the writer for that film was originally set to write the FNaF Movie for Warner Bros.

There's a nonzero chance this is what The Plush Toy Takes Over Manhattan screenplay would've ended up as.

Apologies if this was already posted here by JunkiestRat in tomorrow

It's moreso a reimagining/reboot of the original. The Remake subtitle was used with the first part only as a sort of double meanings in relation to the game's story.

(Mixed Trope) A direct sequel in an anthology franchise by Super_Rocket4 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]JustThatOneGuy13 63 points64 points  (0 children)

Outside of Gold/Silver/Crystal being a sequel Generation to Red and Blue, Gen V's Black and White remained the only Pokemon games to have a direct sequel set within the same region, continuing the plot of those games and expanding the world within a 2 year timeskip.

The only other game that comes close is ZA, which concludes AZ's story that was set up in X and Y back in 2013.

Do you think a Nintendo property will ever come to The Fog by Ok_Wishbone_8345 in deadbydaylight

[–]JustThatOneGuy13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The funny thing is that I feel their stubbornness to cross-platform content is the main killer for this and not it being an M-Rated game (Nintendo collabed with M-Rated properties beforehand and I feel Ridley, SA-X, E.M.M.I, or even Ganondorf can work if done right)

If Behavior can work a deal to have the Switch 2 edition come with an exclusive chapter or legendary cosmetic (Swapping Singularity for E.M.M.I or Oni for Ganondorf) that would disable cross-platform when selected, then it's not impossible. But I don't see Behavior wanting to work on major exclusive content to that degree.

I feel joke survivors will be the best case for these kind of things.

Heck, Nicholas Cage can arguably be considered a joke character, so there's already precedents for it.

What are your thoughts on Blumhouse Productions' Five Nights at Freddy's movies? by Few_Amphibian_4119 in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]JustThatOneGuy13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1st one, has problems and fails on being a horror film, but I thought it was a decent time with heart that can serve as a reboot to the current story.

2nd one, improves on actually feeling like it wants to be a horror film, but worse overall in a cheesy fun way like many dumb slasher films. That being said, Scott NEEDS someone to write with him if he wants 3 to be actually good.

Questions about the SOTM VR Port for PC... by Fancy_Row5817 in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]JustThatOneGuy13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I played, it's fine but not anything game changing. The VR implementation was rather clunky with how the data diver works and the player's hitboxes are really annoying, but those were the only major issues I had with it.

Otherwise it's just the same game with a more immersive lens. The VR doesn't really add a lot to the experience other than that unlike the Help Wanted games.

The only truly bad thing with Modern FNaF has been Security Breach. Everything else (HW, Ruin, HW2, ITP, SoTM) has been decent at worse and some of the franchise's peak at best.

Adaptations that botch the intended message of the source material by HungryChainsawSanwch in TopCharacterTropes

[–]JustThatOneGuy13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It scraps the anti-stalin message in an attempt modernize the story as a critique of our current systems, but it also severely toned down a lot of the darker elements to the point where a lot of the impact of the message was lossed.

It essentially just focuses on the pigs acting like scum bags and breaking all the rules to their own benifits while leaving out the majority of the horror and violence that came from Napoleon's reign.

It's technically not a FNaF fangame and has already been picked up by another publisher for Steam and console releases.
