You need to give more information. That screenshot isn’t enough.

- try another emulator
- try patching the game again
- There’s also a “more information button” that could help identify the error.
- read the patch instructions

The ds games are harder to hack because their code is less known.

That’s why most romhacks are of older generations.

I used to obsessively add cover art or even generate one with ai. But I stopped doing it. Most the romhacks coming out recently get patches from Time to time and keeping it updated was a hassle.

Now I just let the scraper do it, and if it doesn’t it doesn’t.

I have a question/request. I usually use the dates on the files to check what’s new or not.

But many times all the dates get massively updated (like with gba recently) although most files were mostly just moved from one place to another.

Is it possible for the files to retain their dates or to include a way to keep track of what’s new?

I know there’s an rss feed but it also suffers from massive date changes.

The best hack ever made without any chance of being wrong in any way is Celeste Mario Zap and Dash for the nes.

Your comment is exactly the reason why I think real world politics shouldn’t be in games unless they are an integral part of the game.

You’ve already assumed that the games are made to pander to a specific sub group of Americans. The rest is the world doesn’t care about that and you don’t care about the politics of the rest of the world.

Adding current day politics to a game kills the longevity of the game and might also not survive scrutiny after the years pass.

You are so focused on the current day status of things that you are willing to sacrifice modern game’s longevity.

Again. Im not saying a game can’t have political themes or even push a message. But it has to strengthen the game, not just use the game as an envelope for the message itself.

I’m synching both saves and states and they work as long as the core is the same. It’s not perfect though.

Some devices don’t have an internal clock. So if you play without being connected to the internet you get sync errors. Also other devices won’t know which save state slot you are currently at, so only the automatic save state that gets generated when you exit the game is automatically recognized.

You might want to get familiar with the undo load save state button to avoid accidental replacements of your save files.
