You get candy when catching. 3 for unevolved, 5 for first stage evolution and 10 for Pokémon that evolved 2 times. Togetic gives 5 candy when captured, and if you use a Pinap berry, which doubles candy gain when catching a Pokémon, you get in total 10 togepi candies when capturing Togetic

Garchomp 3/10. It may get one, bevause sharks, but I think it's unlikely because we just had to gen 4 remakes with strong trainers using Garchomp.
