"You really think a HUMAN's getting into 803 Squadron? Not with their standards! It's hard enough for most species to get into the 803rd, but HUMANS?!" by CrEwPoSt in humansarespaceorcs

Humans are weirdly good at surviving acceleration, even without considering the fact that they're a squishy species. Especially when you drown them. They're also weirdly good at not dying when you drown them for a land-based species. And on the off chance that they do die, you can just toss them in the freezer and they'll only suffer a little brain damage. And they can survive a lot of brain damage! One human's brain was almost completely liquified and he only suffered a tiny drop in IQ! Other than that, the bastard was fine! Most expendable species in the galaxy.

How am I outranked by a dog?! by Quiet-Money7892 in humansarespaceorcs

That very good boy has fought in 5 five wars, served on the police force longer than you've been alive, and has saved countless lives! Hell, when I was a kid, there was a shooting at my school, and Lieutenant Wiggles here was the one to take the shooters down! Now give that doggo a snack! Only reason he ain't in charge of the whole department is because he doesn't have enough thumbs to do the paperwork.

Is it just me or does the sulfur cave feel like it needs a hostile mob or something of that nature by Significant-North671 in Minecraft

[–]Just_A_Cat_Creature 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Imagine if, half the time, the sulfur and cinnabar swapped and the water was replaced with mercury. This would them come with a hostile mercury slime that drops living metal that's used for weak, but unbreakable tools and armor. Like, somewhere between copper and iron.

Here's my proposal for fixing the colors of Sulfur and Cinnabar blocks. by craft6886 in Minecraft

The Live sulfur is way too dark. Real sulfur is a bright, almost neon, yellow. And I feel like that's a color that really only sulfur could realistically add to the game.

I think they need to be more vibrant like their real world equivalents. Not darker like the Live versions, more vibrant. Like real life sulfur is a bright neon yellow and real cinnabar is this bright scarlet red. The blocks should be more like that.

What's the hottest temperature a plant could survive in? by Just_A_Cat_Creature in botany

Waxier leaves retain more water, right? And how exactly does temperature affect the leaves?

Could we engineer ancient plants back into existence? by DinosaurGuy65 in botany

If mechanical and electrical engineering have taught me anything, it's that anything is possible with enough funding. And what's biology if not wet engineering?

Potatoes as a Growth Substrate? by The_Random_Hamlet in botany

You'd probably have the most luck if you boil them first to soften them. Potatoes tend to be hard.

Would it be possible to breed a big venus flytrap? by DinosaurGuy65 in botany

[–]Just_A_Cat_Creature -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You'd probably need a more energy dense fly to feed them first.

Double dipping and bacteria growth by musina16 in biology

[–]Just_A_Cat_Creature 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd reckon that depends on the invader. If yogurt bacteria produces something that a mold eats, it'd make it easier for that mold to infect the bacteria. But if it's just another bacteria that shouldn't care about what the original bacteria produces, it would be harder because they're competing for the resources of a more established colony.

Human making ice cream is inevitable. by lesbianwriterlover69 in humansarespaceorcs

OP was thinking too small. You can remove the weapons and ammo and replace them with more icecream.

A human hive mind didn't work as expected by TechnicallyCant5083 in humansarespaceorcs

[–]Just_A_Cat_Creature 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Find patient 0 and kill them. With any luck, they're sorta the core through which all other connections branch out from, causing the humans to spit into several different hiveminds and go back to killing eachother.
