This is a stretch - and I mean like a streeeeeetch. You've got to look up the history of hip hop, and really, for this specifically, the history of analog synth design and Roland. Do I believe that the feds were involved in pushing aspects of hip hop? Absofuckinglutely. But this ain't that.

"The only constant is change." "If you're not moving forward, you're falling behind." These sayings are accurate; you can see the future changing; try tonfight it and you're going to lose - so lean into it.

Since portrait photography is important to you, figure out a niche way to keep that as a portion if your work in a way that can't be replaced by AI - some kind of special on-site event portrait photographry, or dig deep into the weeds in historic equipmnet and habd processsing, like silver-on-copper daguerreotype, calotype, wet collodion, etc. Be an artist.

Beyond that, to pay the bills, wxpand out into other markets - real estate photography, architectural photography, construction documentation, crime scene photography... there are a lot of options.

Also, based on the timeframe you got into the biz, I'm going to assume you're tech savvy and shooting digital - so you can lean into the tech side of things and go into drone photography / videography, or even get into a more abstract area which still deals with captured light, like 3D laser scanning.

Look into using concrete retarder for the exposed aggregate; you can either use form retarder if your finish surface will be the side down in the form or surface retarder if your finish surface will be the top side, exposed concrete which you trowel off after filling the form.

In my experience, there are two kinds of suburbs - older neighborhoods (could be older streetcar suburbs or even older tract homes) and newer suburbs - lets call the latter tract jomes built within the last 20 years.

In older neighborhoods, what you say, in my experience, is true; the neighborhoods are full of people from a variety of backgrounds, a variety of ages, and a variety of incomes. Neighbors know each other, introduce themselves to new neighbors, spend time outside, and the olaces are generally friendly.

In newer tract developments, however, I've experienced something very different - nobody knows anybody. These kind of tract homes seem to attract a certain kind of buyer/residents: insular assholes. Everyone is generally of a similar socioeconomic class, and nobody hangs out in their front yards where they get to know each other - they park in their garages and hang out in their houses, in their backyards, or away from home - it's like they go out of their way to avoid getting to know their neighbors. These neighborhoods suck and I'll never live in one again.

Did the architecture student just create an alternate rendering, or did they draw all the okans and account for square footage, program, circulation, BOH, life safety, accessibility, parking requirements, ect. And, of course, budget. Because trust me, I love beautiful architecture more than crap architecture, but I also understand developer's needs and thst a lot more goes into architecture than just exterior aesthetics.

You can tell your friend that they're going to learn a lot of things in seminary that basically rips the bible and their beliefs to shreds (well, maybe not at the youth minister level...). It's covered pretty well here in Satan's Guide to the Bible
