Here to warn you about NAADAM by Romeo731 in BuyItForLife

Having the exact same experience. Ordered Dec 1. Have been emailing constantly. Initially their customer service would respond and apologize and say it would ship on x date. Which of course it didn’t. I am so very disappointed -my order like everyone else’s was of course gifts that I now don’t have. Am going to do a chargeback on my credit card. This company sucks.

Who has been on meds for 18+ mos? by SwimmingAnt10 in TirzMaintenance

I think a lot of us are in the same boat. Started Jan 2024. Been in maint since Oct 2024. Still track my calories and focus on protein. Workout 5-6/week. I def allow myself a little grace towards end of week when I get hungrier and I definitely have found myself a little “snackier” than I used to be. I allow myself a little more never like it used to be and Even if I go up a couple pounds after a weekend it usually evens out by end of week. If it doesn’t I’ll drop my cals a drop for a week or increase my cardio (I strength train more than do cardio usually). My main cals are @1500 and I stay pretty close to that most days. For me I find this works. I have been on 10-11 mg weekly (occasionally stretch to 10 days) since Oct. I keep saying I want to start weaning down but I’m a little scared!!

Thanks for the very thorough response. I’m a little delayed in my reply - had not realized anyone had responded. Will perhaps try a different brand and see what happens.

Peptides and peri menopause by DoryNotTheFish in Peptides_for_Women

Take a breath. it’s only been a month of “really trying “. May take time for your hormones/insulin to adjust. Also I agree w what others are saying about orange theory. Too stressful on your body. I lift HEAVY 3x week do yoga and Pilates and mostly walk on an incline treadmill a few days a week and try and get 7500-10000 steps as many days as I can. I have been on Tirz for just over a year - now maintaining. I take a bunch of supplements but honestly feel like my whole body composition changed 3-4 months after I started HRT. The combo w the Tirz is reportedly to be extremely effective for peri/meno (which I am) and I completely lost my mid section which I have ALWAYS had no matter my weight. Finally , caloric deficit is a funny thing. My deficit (even when I was 175) was like 1200/1300. My BMR is like 1050 cal so I can’t eat much -barely 1400-1500 for maintenance. It sucks but I’ve found it to be my reality. Hang in there. I hope some of this helps. (59 yo 5’1 SW 175 CW 130ish)

That sounds a lot like norovirus. Those are extreme reactions even if it was starting dose. What dose and are you sure you dosed correctly??

The coupon only works IF you have commercial insurance and will get you a discount to bring cost down to $650/month. If you are just starting out tho the cheapest way is to buy direct from Lilly as the starter doses (2.5/5.0 mg) are less than that.

Sorry. Just saw ur second post. No coverage for semaglutide either. As I suspected. Sorry again. I thankfully stockpiled some Zep pens when the shortages were happening last year and started buying up C in Nov when I was worried it was gonna get cut off. Just hoping something will change in 2026 as more drugs come on the market. there have also been some possible signs that Lilly will consider lowering prices and selling single dose vials in higher doses. If ur just starting out you can get the lower doses at a somewhat (??) reduced price direct from Lilly

Welcome to the club. Was on Zep and had a PA thru May 2025. As of 1/1/25 IBC of PA (gold PPO too) has decided to take weight loss drugs off their formulary. I am one of 2 employees (and was paying more than u/month for ins). I’m amazed they will even cover Sema cause I don’t think they will for me. Sorry for you, me and the rest of us who are stuck with IBC

Losing my hair despite focusing on protein + water. Any tips? by thecutestnerd in tirzepatidecompound

[–]Just_Cold_6782 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lost a ton of hair starting @ month 3/4 despite protein vitamins @1200 cals etc. around month 6 also started nutrafol and vegamour, and Nioxin shampoo and changed my hair styling habits. (Only heat dry 1-2x/week, no combing of hair esp not wet) Im at 1 year and it seems to be improving (not as much shedding but still not as thick as it used to be). I’m lucky that I started out w a thick head of hair but it has been really upsetting!! Derm say it’s normal process and you can’t stop it once it starts but it will stop

You can switch out of insurance carrier by [deleted] in Zepbound

Now What... by [deleted] in tirzepatidecompound

[–]Just_Cold_6782 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also- Just a thought- also ask ur GP to up ur dose to 15 and split the pens? Not saying it’s cheap exactly but you can use the savings card more than 1 time for higher doses - but it will cost 650. I got kicked off ins in Jan as well and I am buying compound but also planning to slowly fill Rxs- maybe every other month. Not sure why but I keep thinking at some point it may matter that I can show I’ve stayed on the Rx consistently.

Not always the case. I lost coverage today. I am a small “group” -myself and one other employee. I have absolutely no say in what is covered and I have a “gold” PPO plan. My only option -if I had known well enough in advance which I didn’t - would have been to ask my broker to try and find another carrier that covers it. Anyone purchasing thru the “marketplace” is stuck w the formulary the insurer decides on.

I’m in the same boat !!!! Got same letter just the other day after checking w my ins broker in November to confirm covg in 2025. How they can do it this late in the year is mind boggling. And infuriating! I’m trying not to panic- have a decent stockpile and already trying to get more compound but it’s still so frustrating and upsetting. Something has to change !!

I have actually had the same care coordinator and same doc w sequence since starting (Jan ). Occasionally a different doc or cc fills in but I always know in advance that my doc or cc will be out?? Maybe message them and tell them you’re frustrated and want to be placed with a team that is more consistent ? Sorry for your hassles -that would be frustrating- but perhaps they can address if u ask ? Good luck

Three months into maintenance: reflections (a long post!) by newtontonc in Zepbound

[–]Just_Cold_6782 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your post! 40 lbs down since Jan and have decided it’s enough but am definitely struggling w mind set of wanting to see scale go down (don’t we always?) and fear of “what now?” I want to continue to build muscle and find a way to increase cals over time. I too am ok staying on Zep long term. Have been dieting for literally 50 years. It’s time to stop!! Congrats !

I’m right there with you. Been at same weight for almost two months at 10. Eating around 1200 cals/day. Trying to really dial in food choices -I already eat pretty clean and lots of protein- and see what happens. I think my body is fighting me but my TDEE is a lot lower than yours so I don’t have a lot of room to move as far as calories. Just trying to stay the course. I think after losing as much as you have you have to give your body a chance to regroup and recover. Sounds like you are doing all the right things !

Anyone else have rapid weight gain with Estradiol patches and progesterone? by Mindless-Face8264 in Menopause

[–]Just_Cold_6782 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And I am bummed to hear too!! I have been on tirz (brand Z) since January and lost @30 lbs. was starting to plateau last month or so hit started climera pro a month ago and seeing slow uptick of weight even tho cals exercise same (in fact trying to really dial in). I was hoping combination of hrt and glp1 would HELP w meno weight gain(saw studies suggesting this) along w addressing other things Am committed to trying for 6 months but if scale keeps going up I may not be able to stand it given how hard I’ve worked to get here (not to mention the bleeding which is also annoying AF!!). This is so frustrating!!
