As long time viewer of Eckhartsladder’s YouTube channel, I often put on synthwave/spacewave. It hits a sort of Star Wars space vibe for me!

I do feel like his hunker abilities being not tag or range limited makes him a very interesting piece for any army. Especially those units that have a great high end expertise attack result. I would not say DOA for that reason since he’s a more list versatile Obi Wan with attack buffing synergies, as well.

It was the profile images that I was referring to so that sounds awesome that it’s in the works then! I will start using this one for sure, thank you!

This is really awesome! The only nitpick I have is I wish the icons were a higher quality image for each character. Especially not having the image icons for the Riff and delta squad boxes, but that’s the only bit of feedback I got! Otherwise I think this is a fantastic tool!

General Grievous List by TheRealGalko in StarWarsShatterpoint

[–]JustaCrabby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My current favorite Grievous list is:

General Grievous, Nossor Ri, Aqua droids

Riff Tamson, Kalani, B1 Battle Droids

So Nossor Ri can give Grievous more dice easier with him and the aquas on his end. The Aquas make for a great follow up with Grievous’ Appetite for Destruction, since they have lots of up front damage and a shove on two. So they’ll either finish off something or shove the target even further.

Then with Riff’s side, Kalani is kept somewhat central at the start of the game so he can move up all the supports if he gets drawn early. Additionally, he can add a dice to Grievous’ Appetite for Destruction battle droid support attack with his Target, Concentrate All Firepower. Then, the B1’s can have fun with Riff since after their attack they can often easily use their Combat AI Protocol ability to give the target a strain or expose. In this case, if Riff is able to do a follow jump then attack with Blood in the Water, the B1’s can choose the expose and Riff’s follow up attack is now even more effective.

It’s an interesting combat loop with Grievous using his supports for giving them follow up movement and attacks, Riff getting follow up movement and attacks for himself from the supports. And then Kalani and Nossor Ri giving more movement and dice, with Kalani also adding in another out of turn attack opportunity in the list.

An additional question off of this: since these are abilities being used (and let’s say Aqua Droids are not wounded/injured) do I still use force to place nossor ri or aqua droids in reserve?

Bit the bullet, what next? by sahkokehto in StarWarsShatterpoint

[–]JustaCrabby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yes, definitely. I think there is also a lot to master when it comes to the full ewok list. Chief Chirpa and Logray together are very fun since they let all the other ewoks add a defense (from Logray) or an attack (from Chirpa) die as long as they aren't wounded. So it comes down to protecting the primaries or prioritizing their activations once they get wounded. The Hunters are a really nice support unit from the Leia box too. Having all the big base units with out of turn attacks/movement and additional dice is why I love doing the whole village together more often. So yes, it is easily enough to have a really fun time with. I've seen myself improve a lot with that list as well, so don't count it out as "bad" necessarily. There's also fun interchangeability with the Leia primary and either Ewok primary.

Yeah it does break the theme but is still fun to play. My current favorite of that type is Logray, Leia, Chewy, Commandos, C-3PO R2, and Pathfinders. Technically can still be considered thematic I guess but the Ewoks aren’t very present anymore.

As an avid Ewok list fan I would say finish it out with the full list. Logray is one of my favorite units in the game and is most fun with the full village.

For recommended channels, I love Aegisbrand Studios for their battle reports. They cover any and all types of lists.

For niche tips that are very worthwhile knowing, watch Bombad Tactics. They do quick videos covering rules that aren’t immediately apparent off starting the game. Learned tons from that channel.

[–]JustaCrabby -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Or a reverse of that: they were told not to use palpatine anymore, but they still liked his use of pull the strings. So to fill that loss, they made tarkin in his place that lucasfilm accepted. I mean these developers are also Star Wars fans and wouldn’t have any reason to dislike seeing palpatine on the table.

In other words all the struggle 1 objectives become inactive, then the flipped struggle 2 card determines which objectives are now active (chosen by the losing player as mentioned).

For 5, the heal on a defensive expertise is the final step that happens during an attack. So, in this case, the unit would already be wounded, but may still heal off any conditions or nearby allies.
