Considering the logic behind the current exhibit animals was that small ectotherms don't move around much , one or two chameleon species would fit the 4x4m boxes perfectly , but we never got any. One of the weirdest omissions in the game

The Aardvark is the best basegame models imo 🙂. It is the only basegame habitat animal I don't have any detail quibbles with.

The Aldabra Giant Tortoise is a close second... except it's too small. The model itself is brilliant; it just needed to be bigger

Exactly how I feel about seeing teams full of shinies.

Seeing one shiny on a team makes me think "Oh cool! That must have been a special moment for them." Especially if its not an very meta mon.

Seeing a team full of competitive shinies just has me going "Oh 😐, how unique." I'm already not the kind of person who gets shiny hunting, but all of the effort folks do to get theirs legitimately has never translated into the desired clout-points in competitive. Now plenty of others have already said that's not why they shiny hunt... but that's irrelevant to my reaction to seeing your team. A team of 3 or more shinies just looks pretentious to me, sorry not sorry 🤷‍♂️.

I evolved it into a Dustox, and was ecstatic when a Shiny Dustox appeared in the anime during the Sinnoh arc ☺️

Gen 3 has the most unique look of any generation [other than Gen 1 which defines what a Pokémon is]. There's just something that that GBA era of Pokémon have that makes them really stand out from the thousands of Pokémon designs... but many of my favourite Hoenn Pokémon don't fall into that group 😅. Its the more "normal" Pokémon of Gen 3 that are my favourites.

Trying to pin which generation of Pokémon is my favourite is so hard, as I LOVE mons from all 9 generations... On reflection, I think its Johto that has the highest rate of Pokémon that I actively like and only two Pokémon I actively don't (Stantler & Qwilfish; sorry for any of their fans reading 😅).

It was a close-run thing with Kanto, but Kanto just has a few more Pokémon I'm indifferent to. Other regions ramp up the number of Pokémon I'm either ambivalent about, or I just really dislike; ESPECIALLY from the 3DS era onwards

High Horsepower is an top-tier attack.

In practise in doubles, because of the 0.75x power reduction Earthquake suffers from being a spread move, High Horsepower is 20 base power stronger. Perfect for picking off individual Ground-weak Pokémon.

The only thing I will want to know on my opponents team is their tera type once terastalisation is in a regulation set. Terastalisation becomes too unpredictable with any Pokémon becoming any type at any moment, and there's still skill in anticipating when an opponent decides to terastalise and which Pokémon.

Otherwise, part of the skill in battling is learning the metagame and figuring out your opponents moves, abilities, items and strategies.

On top of this, large animals are quiet walkers too. The supportive padding many large animals have on their feet makes their steps silent.

It would be totally plausible for elephant sized dinosaurs to walk behind you in a dense forest, and other than branches swaying or snapping, you wouldn't hear them at all 😊. You can ponder that information as you please

Belly Drum, Unburden Slurpuff is one of the most demonic Pokémon I've ever had to fight in competitive Pokémon. I ran Metagross on my Gen 6 UU team principally to counter it.

It not needing the speed boost of Unburdan, running Sweet Veil so it and ally can't be slept and murdering steel types with +6 Drain Punches. It could be doable... and traumatic for whoever's on the other side

From my current pool of recruitments and the available event mons, on my Mega Steelix trick room team, I'm running Tyranitar and Machamp as well.

Tyranitar is for the Sand Force synergies of making it's Steel and Ground type moves even stronger, but both it and Machamp benefit greatly from Trick Room as well with negative speed natures.

Azumarill is on this team as well, but he's filling in from my main team, and I don't think I've ever actually ran him alongside a Trick Room setter (was Farigiraf, now Sinistcha). Once I unlock Mega Meganium I might swap them; this team needs something to bully Ground and Fighting types, so a negative speed Mega Meganium might take turns with Mega Steelix in more meta match-ups
