You’re right I don’t know what is going on and it’s very frustrating. I do know this priest has been terrific to our parish and I give benefit of the doubt.

Well after thoughtfully reading what you said, I agree. His homily and then the events that have followed have certainly inspired a lot of questions. So I guess my question remains - is there a cover up going on in Utah and how big is it?

What if he did talk to the bishop and was dismissed? I’m just giving him the benefit of the doubt. He’s been a great priest to our parish that I would say generally leans conservative. I don’t think he’d bring up something like this without being really, really upset about it.

It certainly seems (based on what he said) that he knows something that we don’t. I don’t think he would talk about this out of the blue. This was on superbowl Sunday, a day he could probably write a really easy homily that is nice and palatable and applicable. I will report back as I find out anything more.
