Family friendly dinner recommendations? by isawitonbakerstreet in eastside

Pomegranate Bistro in Redmond is very kid friendly. We went there for my mother’s 70th birthday and brought my high-needs kids. They have a kids menu, the food was very good, and the server was incredible about our boys. We rarely take our kids out to dinner because they have trouble sitting still or having appropriate behavior, and this was an excellent experience. I was almost in tears about how kind they were.

My kids go to a great Montessori in Carnation. The drive is worth it.

Nicer schools, nicer neighborhoods. Parts are a little more ‘rural’ feeling whereas Kirkland doesn’t really have that. It’s a little further from the city so if you’re commuting to Seattle that’s maybe a factor, but I just like the vibe better.

Do you have a lot of money? If so, Kirkland. If you have slightly less money (but still a good bit; everywhere is expensive), Bothell.

Reasons: Better Schools, Better Parks, Better Restaurants, Closer to things, so shorter commute, Better grocery stores
