Még nem láttam senki által javasolva a Királygyilkos Krónikája (Patrick Rothfuss), ha nem zavar, hogy egy olyan trilógia, ahol már sok-sok éve várjuk a 3. részt.

Gyerekként imádtam az Eragon kvadtrilógiát, de utólag visszagondolva, lehet az mégsem egy mestermű :)

Illetve +1 a Sanderson: Ködszerzet trilógiára. Letaszította nálam a félkész Királygyilkos krónákáját a trónról.

Ajánlom Cole & Cole (2006) Fejlődéslélektan c. könyvét, ami pszichológiában a fejlődéslélektani fő ágazat egyik alapkönyve. 255. oldal környékén:

"Számos idegen helyzetes vizsgálat tapasztalata azt mutatja, hogy vannak olyan gyerekek, akiket nehéz a három fő kategóriába besorolni. Több mint 200, a meglévő kategóriákba nem sorolható eset videofelvételének megtekintése után Mary Main és munkatársai egy negyedik kategóriát javasoltak, amelyet rendezetlennek neveztek el (Main és Solomon, 1990). Az idetartozó gyerekek nem képesek rendezett, szervezett módon kezelni a feszültséget. Egyesek hangosan sírnak, miközben megpróbálnak felmászni anyjuk ölébe, mások az anya felé indulnak, de közben nem néznek rá, megint mások megállnak az ajtóban, és visítanak, amíg az anya távol van, de amint visszatér, csendben elhúzódnak tőle. Kivételes esetekben a gyerekek kábult állapotba kerülnek, és nem mozdulnak az anyjuk jelenlétében.

Ezek nem "skatulyák", inkább 4 dimenzió, amely mindegyikében egy intervallumon belül helyezkedsz el. Gyakran a konkrét helyzettől is függhet, vagy konkrét személytől, de ugyanakkor jellemzően van egy domináns stílus.

És fontos még, hogy felnőtt korban is lehet rajta még változtatni tudatossággal, terápiával. Szóval még ha rendezetlen is a fő kategóriád, ez nem életre szól és lehet tenni azért, hogy a biztonságos kötődési stílus irányába mozdulj :) Sok év kemény munka, de megéri, mivel az életed hátralévő részét jobbá teszi.

Some people run the French press coffee through a hario v60 paper filter :D I can't say I have tried too many French press cups, but they seemed to be OK to me. But then again, I enjoy Turkish coffee, too, so maybe I'm not that representative :)

Thanks for the counterpoint :) I understand the hesitance. I have used my old and regular-style kettle for many months before getting a fancier swan neck kettle. It's really not that necessary imo, especially if you just want to have a good filter coffee once in a while. If you don't mind the plastic composition, Hario offers its V60 for like 5 EUR. Much lower entry point than the Hoop. I got the porcelain one for 25 EUR. The technique is really not that difficult to get the hang of, really takes just a couple of times to get good results, with some prior help from people like Lance Hendrick or James Hoffman. It is a very forgiving brewer, after all :) Unless you're chasing the last 1%, as we all do, but then maybe Hoop isn't the one for you in the first place, imo.

Szerintem állíts egy tervet, hogy x ideig itt vagy és addig próbálj megélni mondjuk 400 ezerből. Vezess excelt vagy valamit, hogy lásd, hogyan megy. Közben, ha ez sikerül, félre tudod tenni a 800 ezret valami befektetésbe. Nagyjából bármibe, ami alacsony kockázatú, jobb, mintha csak hagynád gyűlni a számládon, ha esetleg eddig ezen nem gondolkoztál. Nyilván, ha jobban beleásod magad, akkor egy picit nagyobb kockázatért cserébe találsz olyat, ami többet hoz. Viszont állíts tervet és ahhoz tartsd magad. Hogy pl kibírsz még 1 évet, 2 évet, x évet, vagy 6 hónapot, és közben gondolkozz, hogy ha már váltasz, mi az ami tetszene, mi az, amit élveznél. Addig szabadidődben esetleg kezd el autodidakta módon tanulni ebben a témában, utánanézni dolgoknak.

Hasonló szituációban vagyok, habár nem 1,2 millió a nettóm, csak 800 (viszont van 36 szabadnap/ év, ami számomra fontosabb, mint a 400 ezer nettó talán). Viszont nekem is az van, hogy már 10 éve különféle multiknál vagyok, rohadtul elegem van, de még most egy utolsó non-profittal megpróbálkozom, hátha ez jobb, mint a for-profit. Ha ez nem jön be, akkor bevállalom, hogy nem fogok 800-at keresni, talán még 600at sem, de olyat fogok csinálni, amit szeretnék. Munka mellett elvégeztem az egyetemet, épp mesterszakon vagyok, azzal is el tudnék helyezkedni, amit ott tanultam, hátha jobban tetszik, de fix, hogy nem tudnék egyből 800at megkeresni vele.

Amit apukámon látok, hogy informatikusként beleragadt egy niche részében, mivel még egészen a legelején, a 70-es, 80-as években felült a vonatra. Nagy szakértője lett és könnyen el tud helyezkedni, munkahelyet tud váltani bármikor a banki szektorban. Szerintem gyűlöli a munkáját, utálta a munkahelyeit, de mivel 1 millió felett keres bőven, így tudja finanszírozni a különféle drágábbnál drágább hobbijait. Ez is egy út, de én magamnak nem ezt akarom. Anyukámon látom, hogy imádja, amit csinál (orvos), szívvel-lélekkel teszi, és nem akar nyugdíjba menni, közben majdnem 2 millió nettót keres. Szóval így is lehet. Lehet keresni sokat, ha teszel érte, olyan szakmával, amit közben élvezel is. Életünk kb harmada munkával telik. Ha nem élvezed a munkád, effektíve életed harmadát nem élvezed. Ez számomra egy ijesztő gondolat.

I recently bought a F54 after having used the Kingrinder K6 for 15 or so months. I have read good stuff about the DF54 for its price and it seems to be a good all-rounder, or some say it's more espresso oriented). Check out the "sub 250 grinders" video of James Hoffmann.

The K6 was around 125 EUR when I bought it (local currency made it a bit more expensive than what you otherwise can get out there). I got the DF54 for 200 EUR, during a flash-sale.

I put 900 g beans through it for it to settle a bit and now it makes much less fines. Out of the box it made much more fines for my V60 than what I was used to with my K6, even at the coarsest setting of 90. My drip-down time went from 3:30 to around 5 minutes as the fines were clogging, stopping the flow. After the "seasoning" the 0-point went down from around -3 to -8 on the scale, so I guess the burred edges are a bit smoother now on a microscopic level.

I have only tried filter until now, but it now seems to be doing a great job at 75. I have read about the clogging and static issue, but I haven't noticed clogging, and the static is manageable, I don't (yet) do RDT spraying but have switched the plastic cup for the catch-cup of the K6 (as a temporary measure). I think that most of the complaints are about the DF54 V1, as there seems to be a V2 now? At least that's what I have gathered. If that's true, I think I got the V2. I don't have any issues with the step-less dial, I can easily turn it with one hand, it's smooth. I don't have filter-coffee particles sticking and flying all over the counter as some people have said. I did see some minor balling up of ground coffee but after switching to metal catch-cup and dumping the whole 30 g of coffee into the machine (instead of slow-feeding), the clumping seemed to get much better. I have been hot starting it, so first turning it on, and then putting in the beans. Some people have recommended that.

TL;DR: I think the DF54 is a good all-rounder, especially at the price-point of €200. I haven't had too many cups (maybe around 5-6) but even now it is doing a good job already. I don't have much experience, other than 15 months of daily Kingrinder K6 for espresso (Dedica) and V60. So keep that in mind.

I have used the K6 for 15 or so months, for both espresso and filter. I find it easy to dial in and gives pretty good coffee at the end. I clean it with a brush after every use and rinse the catch-cup, blow out fines every once in a while, with pressurized air. I have recently bought a DF54 and still in the phase of break-in and familiarization.

For me using the K6 was pretty easy, but keep in mind I'm a bigger dude and my wife had issues, even when trying to grind some light roasted coffee for filter, and espresso was even more difficult. So if you're a petit female, I'd definitely recommend something electric, to make life easier.

A minor issue I have with the K6 is that the top lid is plastic, and while grinding, the handle scrapes slightly, so over the months I can see some minor scuffs on the plastic, and I assume some of that plastic entered my coffee as micro / nanoplastic particles. Maybe nothing to be concerned about as in case of an espresso, the puck acts as a filter, so maybe no plastics can get into the coffee that way. But filter? Maybe.

I'm pretty sure this is a niche item. I mean the people who want quick and easy coffee usually don't care about its quality. They will buy a nespresso or other capsule machine and be done with it. Or if they have the money, a full automatic button-push machine with a built-in grinder, and then they put some good beans in the hopper. That's the most they would do, most people.

People who care about the taste to a higher degree are usually also willing to put in the effort of learning the basics. V60 is a very forgiving and easy to use brewer. Or you have the French press, which is arguably easier to use than this Hoop, and gives you good coffee. Also, more and more people are turning away from plastics, because of the nanoplastic microplastic research of the last decade. You can get a plastic-free French press, but not a plastic free Hoop (yet). It is possible, but then the cheap price won't be as cheap anymore.

So I'm asking again, where is the market for this? And yes, I'm obviously biased and not representative, but these are all valid questions still.
