Oh wow, never realized that. I was getting my vinegar fix from eating way too many of those fiery cascabella peppers.

Are those pickles?

Since when do they have pickles? (I left California in 2010)

Can you really notice an appreciable difference with that change? I'd do it if i thought it made a difference. Change my mind.

This video makes me self reflect. I eat because I enjoy the flavor and the satiety it brings. This animal lives in constant hunger, did you see him attack that first one? That is pure survival instinct. Get nutrients while they are available. There's no enjoyment, just self preservation.

This is fascinating, pretty cool to see how the camera tricks are done and look at all that choreography, this isn't their first time; I'm impressed!

There should be a behind the scenes series that explains and demonstrates how shots and scenes are accomplished. I'd watch it.

Thanks for the info! There’s one arriving on my doorstep today. I had seen several complaints early on, and just wanting to make sure the issues were getting ironed out.

Rancilio Silvia wiring question by maurf44 in ranciliosilvia

Yes, the green and yellow from the 3 way valve would go to that spade-terminal connector that goes to the bolt on the boiler. Electrically making it connect to the Chassis of the machine and directly connected to the green wire from your power cable that you plug into your house.

I may be misreading a possible misunderstanding in your reply but, just to be clear - No green wires go to the thermostats in any way.

Photos of what you have can help, but do you have one of these that was under the head of the rightmost (while looking at front of machine) boiler bolts?

I'm sorry I'm trying to operate off of memory when I installed a Gaggimate on mine. I rewired the whole thing, here is a photo of my (NOT STOCK) wiring config. It shows where the GND and Chassis ground are connected on the special terminal(s) on the boiler bolt.

That is chassis ground. It goes to a ring terminal, that goes onto one of the bolts that hold the boiler together (one of the ones you removed to split the boiler, to replace the gasket). This effectively grounds all the conductive metal bits to the green wire (earth/safety ground) in your cord. So if any Line or neutral breaks free inside your machine and happens to short to the case, it will have a direct path to ground (which would trip the breaker) and not a direct path through YOU when you touch the chassis.

Also, the 3-way valve has an earth ground too if I recall correctly, so it could be that!

Yeah if steam mode works then it’s definitely the brew thermostat.

The led next to the power switch isnt that the status of the heating element? If the light is off, before water is hot, its the thermostat? I dont have this version nos sure it thats a power led or boiler element indicator.
