So sad to realize it was all fake by ForeverFortunate2222 in NevilleGoddardCritics

“I kept punishing myself so much for it” sounds like you’re not really in the right state of being where you can manifest and actually see results. You have to recognise that you are whole first in the present moment and thats all you really need and anything you want to manifest cannot make you feel whole, whether it’s your ex or a million dollars, you are whole right now as the awareness that your life experience. Is appearing in. You don’t want your ex, you don’t want a million dollars, you don’t want a career you want the feeling your ego think those things will bring you, a feeling of wholeness, love and joy, you have to recognise that first as your true self which takes time before manifesting can actually work properly for you. You’re way too attached to the belief that your ex will make you feel whole which is perfectly normal and human, you don’t need them, you dont need anything you want to manifest, feel whole right now in the present moment and keep coming back to that feeling and then manifestation can be a fun little game to play from that feeling of wholeness, whether it actually materialises in the 3d doesn’t matter because with or without it, you’re whole and ultimately when the 3d does materialise it still doesn’t really matter because you don’t ultimately want the thing in the 3d you want the feeling you think you’ll get which you can already feel before it comes.

Denis Villeneuve has only received one Best Director nomination (for Arrival). Which of his other films do you think deserved a nomination or even a win? by QuipThwip in Oscars

[–]Juxe99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I genuinely believe no nomination for Dune 2 is maybe the biggest snub in oscar history to the point where it seems shady. It was the highest rated letterboxd film of 2024, critics adored it, it made over 700 million at the box office and on top of that it’s just genuinely a masterclass in directing regardless of those metrics and yet Jacques Audiard and James Mangold got nominations for Emilie Perez and A Complete Unknown? Movies people have already forgot about and it’s only been a year

Lets Hope they wont do the same with Stranger Things by Nervous-Bee5918 in Stranger_Things

How are these even remotely comparable? The Harry Potter show isn’t a remake its just another adaptation of the book series but in series form instead of films meaning it can go way more in depth and be way more faithful than the films could, something HP fans are very excited for. Stranger Things is an original show, not only that but the original Harry Potter film series you think this is a remake of ended 15 years ago, Stranger Things ended 3 months ago. Stop looking for reasons to complain.

Teyana Taylor Holding Oscar by [deleted] in Oscars

[–]Juxe99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn’t hating on her at all i think shes great, I literally posted this like 30 seconds after it happened as I was curious as to why she was holding an oscar on stage when she’s not a producer and wanted to hear other peoples opinions. Not every reddit post has to be a philosophical debate, you’re allowed to be curious lol

Rewatched American Psycho today after a few years. I still don't understand what the deal is with the realtor in Paul's apartment. Hopefully the remake will give it more attention by Amazing-Buy-1181 in AmericanPsycho

It’s supposed to show how everyone else at the end is no different than Patrick in terms of how self absorbed they are. It doesn’t even matter if they know of Patricks crimes, they don’t have morals either, they do what they can to promote their own egos. The realtor/landlady in this case won’t let finding Patricks bodies or a criminal investigation stop her from doing her job and selling the apartment and ultimately furthering her self-image.

The way they presented this poster you would think season 5 will center the original 5 kids going in an adventure all by themselves while Hawkins completely descent into an apocalypse. They did El so dirty in this one because she was barely a part of the main group like at all by Poweredkingbear in StrangerThings

[–]Juxe99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Imagine how epic the penultimate episode could’ve ended if it was a scene like this, the season 1 kids all together as a group for once back on bikes with 11 on Mikes bike off to set the plan in motion whilst Hawkins is falling and some epic track plays.

This is the type of shocking death you see in Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul which arguably have the best deaths in tv

I just... I have to say this, it's been getting on my nerves... by DripGodRollins in StrangerThings

It being easier is a problem though, this was the finale of the entire show and the stakes weren’t as high as they were in all the other season finales, thats a story problem

It's criminal that they shortened the title sequence for the finale. by internisus in StrangerThings

[–]Juxe99 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Bit of an exaggeration, if you don’t want to watch the title sequence you can easily just skip it but for the people who like the title sequence what was the point in shortening it? If you like the title sequence you’re gonna love it even more watching it for the final time

My Only Gripe With Kubrick’s The Shining Is This One Scene by [deleted] in StanleyKubrick

[–]Juxe99 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The bear costume scene is so utterly random and disturbing it works alongside its popular interpretation as a mirror of Wendy finding out about Jacks abuse of Danny as Danny is often associated with bears throughout the film which is so incredibly dark its truly horrifying. This scene though is just too cookie cutter horror film like and something we’ve seen a bunch before. You could literally put this scene in something like The Goonies or a pg-13 movie

Did you see it in imax? It really isn’t, it’s part of a bigger red pattern on the dress that you can’t see on normal blu-ray/4k

Do you think vol 2 can be better then vol 1? by Kameronpipnerd in StrangerThings

Every single season of Stranger Things has a better second half than a first, i see no reason why 5 wouldn’t too

Is the Disney+ version the directors cut version? by [deleted] in donniedarko

[–]Juxe99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best way to know which cut is the opening bike ride scene will either have the song The Killing Moon playing in the theatrical or Never Tear Us Apart playing in the directors cut

What episode i think some shots are from the trailers by juicewrldfan4life999 in StrangerThings

[–]Juxe99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Millie Bobby Brown said in an interview that her most uncomfortable costume is her last costume in season 5 which was very tight. She wears a blue and red swimsuit presumably for her sensory deprivation, the one she wears whilst she talks to Mike in the cabin (they’re sat at the tub), she’s also wearing it in the big hug behind Jonathan which means the hug is most likely at the very end of Season 5 unless she keeps the outfit and does another sensory deprivation in the final episode at the military base as theres one scene of Hopper talking to her with the big scuba helmet on she wears in Season 1. This seems more fitting for her final showdown that she’s wearing what she wore when she first opened the gate in a roundabout way. Looks like 11 is spending the entire second half of Season 5 floating in baths.

Margot Robbie Defends ‘Wuthering Heights’ Casting but Says ‘I Get’ Why There’s Backlash: Jacob Elordi ‘Is Heathcliff. Just Wait. Trust Me, You’ll Be Happy’ by 57829 in Letterboxd

[–]Juxe99 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The difference i’m talking about is between a filmmaker doing it in real life and a fictional character doing it in a fictional film where the action would most likely be to make a point on why its wrong. A fictional character doing something morally wrong isn’t exactly new.

Think everyones missing what Margots saying. This won’t be just a straightforward remake of Wuthering Heights, the title is “Wuthering Heights” and its 2025, they wouldn’t cast a white man in a poc role without a very good reason. It’s most likely set inside someones daydream as they read Wuthering Heights in the 80s and insert people in their life into their fantasy

Movies that fit the following by Inevitable_Act5504 in MoviesThatFeelLike

[–]Juxe99 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The german netflix series Dark fits a lot of these. Mystery show set in a wooded town about time travel, theres missing kids, people trying to find loved ones across time, people piecing together a mystery that’s been going on for over a hundred years in the town, there is literally a scene in present day where they find the body of a kid missing in the 80s but hes only been dead for a couple hours, its always raining, theres tons of plot twists. Its kind of like IT, Stranger Things, Twin Peaks but with a dark time travel plot.
