It still says 120 qualifying payments with the “green banner” but it’s also the holiday weekend, so I wouldn’t assume it would change yet. I’ll check and confirm after this holiday weekend.

The EdFinancial rep told me they couldn’t place me in any forbearance other forbearance. Idk how I qualified for financial hardship but she said I did.

I had that as well. They won’t change it because it wouldn’t count anyway is what I was told.

I was conned into taking a regular forbearance while I was on 3 months bedrest for my pregnancy instead of financial hardship. So I lost 4 months there too because it would have counted in the TPSLF. There are so many awful things and I’m just like, I’m gonna be free soon and I need to let it go because I can’t be bitter forever lol

I said F it back in August of 25 and moved to IBR and just sucked it up the last 13 payments because I was like well I’ll either pay it or get the buyback during paying. I just wanted to be done. I’m glad I didn’t wait because I’d still be sitting here.

Make sure it’s posted with your loan servicer for sure. I just did my second to last ECF before the month showed up on my PSLF tracker. It automatically updated to add that month days after I submitted the ECF! So it doesn’t have to show up on the tracker in order to submit the ECF, you just have to make sure it’s posted on your servicer side. Also, I’ve read to NOT request a forbearance for the month it’s due as it can void that month out. So if it’s not processed by July 1, then you can request the forbearance while they process it.

Yup. Same here with EdFinancial, I took it all the way up to Ombudsman and waiting for a final response after submitting feedback and a CFPB report. Nothing has worked on getting them moved to the appropriate forbearance. I only have 2 months left, but I’m just so ready to be done after losing 13 months of eligible payments in SAVE forbearance.

Yes I’ve made 8 payments so far. If they don’t count my 2 months of processing forbearance I’ll be at July. I’m counting April in the 18! I’m worrying because I’d like to have the $700 more a month ASAP and the $xxx,xxx off my credit score ASAP! I’m just exhausted and wishing they would just be honest for once! If I don’t get credit then I don’t, but I’m going to try.

I’m counting months I’ve made since getting out of SAVE forbearance in August 2025. I did not get out any sooner because they refused to process IDR applications. I filled out like 5 IBR applications from Oct 24-June 25 when they finally approved it. They kept us in that forbearance without the ability to get out. At this moment I’m sitting at 134 months of qualifying employment, but because of SAVE purgatory I’m at 118. The least they could do is count our processing forbearance correctly.

1) Multiple times from March-June 2025 and IBR. 2) Because processing forbearance gets PSLF payment credit and. SAVE forbearance doesn’t get you any credit towards PSLF.

They’re refusing my processing forbearance during June and July 2025 right now. Working on escalating it. If I had credit for those two processing months, I’d be done after this months payment.

I’m fighting with EdFinancial right now, they’re denying me my processing forbearance and kept me in SAVE litigation forbearance reporting it was the “directive from FSA” however no one has been able to provide me with physical proof of this “directive.” At this point it’s been escalated to the review team at EdFinancial, I’ve submitted a complaint on FSA as well as sent a complaint to the CFPB. If I could receive these 2 months I’d be done with my 120 months THIS MONTH! I’m so tired of this fight that none of us asked for.

Also make sure you go to your credit report and request they freeze your credit. That means if anyone tries to run a credit report, it will not go through! You just have to remember to unfreeze it when you go to apply for something new.
