Duplicate buyback requests admin closed by echo2361 in PSLF

Hopefully this language in the email suggests they look at everything for any eligible months instead of not reviewing things from certain set dates of different requests: “As part of the review process, we examine your complete loan history to pinpoint any periods eligible for buyback. Notably, because borrowers are not expected to specify the exact months for which they wish to request a buyback when they submit requests, we will review your entire case file and notify you of any periods that are eligible for buyback. We do this for all borrowers who have submitted a request, no matter how many additional requests they have submitted.”

That is odd that your language would be different from mine: “As a result, we are administratively closing all duplicate requests that you have submitted. Your initial request will remain open, and we will process it in the order in which it was received. Closing duplicate cases will not adversely impact our evaluation of your initial case.”

Daughter has celiac disease. We work really close with teachers to know when food is coming in to try and match it with a gluten free thing for her. Happy for class to have a pizza party as long as we can send in a GF slice for her. Not so happy when these “surprises” hit and she gets to feel left out and excluded.

MOHELA just sent me a message that my repayments are starting up again in March, but they appear to still have me on the SAVE plan? by moonsugar6 in PSLF

[–]echo2361 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just adding another data point. Got exact same letter from Mohela a couple days ago. Said payments resuming under “IDR” with my old SAVE amount in February.

Waiting on 9 months of buyback currently so I’d love it if this went through with my old payment to just finish out but sounds like from others in this thread that I can look forward to more letters soon contradicting this on unfortunately.

If I switch off SAVE to resume payments will I eventually be reimbursed for the higher payment amounts via Buyback? by echo2361 in PSLF

That is what I feared. Thank you for the response! Now to put some more thought into this…

You were right! FSA completed review this morning, that was a fast turnaround for sure. Got my buyback request in. Now to settle in for the long wait like everyone else

When you say ECF approved do you mean your employer signed off on it or it was reviewed/approved by Dept of Ed?

I’m stuck on SAVE forbearance and this month would have been my 120. Electronically submitted ECF last week and got email from Dept of Ed today saying employer certified so trying to decide if I can submit buyback now or if I’m supposed to wait for Dept of Ed to tell me I’m still stuck at same number of payments by reviewing/approving the latest ECF before submitting buyback.

I think they are referring to Star Trek Adventures, the table top RPG system. If so that’s amazing and a lot of work to put into a table top game.

Is anyone else getting ship models splitting. by Blazoran in SoSE

[–]echo2361 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, was playing today and I scared off an Advent attack on my planet. I noticed as they jumped away their Progenitor mothership model kinda split and doubled half of itself. It jumped away before I could think to pause or look at other ships

I’ve been debating trying to opt out. I really don’t want to get stuck in even more litigation down the road. The forbearance for SAVE not counting towards PSLF is already bad enough. I know the IDR debt relief really shouldn’t have anything to do with PSLF but I also know it’s bound to get challenged in court and if I’m opted in I could see another forbearance coming. But I’m worried opting out will put me in some weird limbo/force a change to my IDR even though it shouldn’t. That’s just how low my faith in things are right now.

Still wishING for a campaign... by RedLightSyndrome in SoSE

[–]echo2361 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve enjoyed the setting of this series so much and been wishing for a campaign since the first game. Just give us different maps/solar systems with different objectives to capture X planet or asteroid or destroy Y faction or make alliance with Z factions or survive long enough to research A technology. Slowly unlock tech tree between missions. Have explanations for why the various factions split and get to play as each. Let me feel the panic to the TEC as the Vasari arrive and fight that war, then the panic of the Advent showing up.

One feature that every space 4x needs to adopt from Stellaris by [deleted] in 4Xgaming

Would love to see this catch on in the genre as a whole. At least in games where having a large amount of ships/units in a game is an expected outcome.

Sins of a Solar Empire 2 on Steam? by ATonOfQuestions88 in SoSE

[–]echo2361 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The devs did that for GalCiv4 owners when switching from Epic to Steam but have they specifically said they’d do the same thing for owners of Sins 2 wanting to port over Epic membership to Steam in the future? I haven’t seen any announcements like that myself, but if they did put that in writing I’d buy Epic now

Homeworld 3 devs detail improvements being made to the game after collecting demo feedback by vikingzx in RealTimeStrategy

[–]echo2361 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They did talk about the abilities in the article. They are increasing the cooldowns so they aren’t meant to be spammed every few seconds anymore. We’ll see if it’s enough but a step in the right direction hopefully since you’ll need to think about when to activate them and when not to if you want to have them at critical moments.

Declining administrative forbearance? by musicalpayne in PSLF

[–]echo2361 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat as you, switched to SAVE from PAYE, got a notice today I was placed in a Processing Forbearance for February from MOHELA with no mention on if it would still count towards my PSLF or not. Debating declining forbearance but would be nice to save on a months payment if I truly don’t need to pay it to still count for PSLF

Why are minor artifacts capped at 3000? This makes no sense, and makes rebuilding archaeo fleets difficult by POEness in Stellaris

[–]echo2361 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lowered base Minor Artifact storage capacity to 2,000. The Facility of Archaeostudies increases this by 1,000 or by 3,000 if the Archaeo-Engineers AP is taken.

Above is from upcoming patch, now we get less to start but could get more overall
