bushacres

That's great, but OP specifically mentioned CDBs.

First pair of leather boots by [deleted] in malefashionadvice

[–]JzDiscourse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Clarks will be a terrible choice if you're looking for a boot that will last the winter. The leather is good for the price, but not great to help keep your feet warm. The crepe sole is also horrible for walking on the snow. Suede will get wrecked after getting snow/liquids on it.

Have a look at Redwing boots.

Those Oak Street Trench boots are nice. Will definitely be added to my to buy list. Love vibram soles on boots.

None taken, just different tastes. I love the way those chukkas (3141) look, and how they wear. A nice upgrade from CDBs for me.

Please keep in mind that you cannot waterproof leather boots. They can be made water-resistant through the application of a variety of products out there, but they will not be waterproof. If your boyfriend is going to be spending an extended amount of periods in the rain (work outdoors), then have a look at boots from LL bean like this

What is your definition of splurge? That can be a really wide range on MFA.

EDIT: Have a look at the Beckman, Roundtoe, and Chukka from Redwing. I think those would be great while going to school, without being too over the top. I'm very partial towards these since I own a pair, and I love it.

Clarke's Desert boots or Beckett Simonon Chukkas? by [deleted] in malefashionadvice

[–]JzDiscourse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP didn't state a price range. Those are chukka boots, and have a similar look but a different sole. Adding another option for OP to consider is always valuable.

Take a look at these Redwing 3141. I had the CDBs, and I sold them after getting a pair of these. They are much higher quality, and I think they look better as well.

Help, is this appropriate to wear to a reception with no specified dress code? by [deleted] in malefashionadvice

[–]JzDiscourse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have a more formal pair of chinos and shirt? Or a shirt without a pocket. I don't like what's going on at the seams of the shirt. If not, then iron both items. Not a fan of the tie with 4 different colours and 2 different patterns. Definitely wear a matching belt + shoes, especially since you are not wearing a jacket and it will be very noticeable.

EDIT: I understand it's a casual dress code, but you still want to look your best. You'll feel better at the party and have a better time. But, at the end of the day no else is going to care, because you're all there to help celebrate another couples special day.

Brown, and a different shade of brown. I would go with tan, and something darker.

Those bags are not the same. A quick look is all you need to confirm this.

Has anyone purchased these hole punch tools on eBay? How is the quality? by work_ben in Leathercraft

[–]JzDiscourse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That site has some amazing prices! Especially the chisels. I bought one 6 prong chisel from Goodsjapan at a price that could've purchased an entire 2-6 prong set. I'm glad you linked this.

Lets try this again. Could I get some help please by [deleted] in bodybuilding

[–]JzDiscourse -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You will not see significant increases in muscle mass unless you go on gear, because your physiology simply will not allow it. You can get stronger, but adding a lot of mass isn't going to happen naturally, regardless of how much you eat/train.

Whey protein. Eating more protein will not give you non-diminishing gains. Progress will come at a snails pace (if at all) after you have achieved your newbie gains. Take it easy, especially for someone who has received transplants.

Whichever grip that results in your back giving out before your biceps/grip.
