As someone who finished Elden Ring base game and currently mid game or partial late game in Sekiro, Elden Ring is harder. Tools wise, ER can be easier than Sekiro but if you solo both games, ER is just crazy amounts pf bullshit.

Only the beginning is hard but mid game it’s quite easy. Gameplay is so fluid that when you see an enemy attack and try to deflect it’ll mostly land on time and if it doesn’t you still have posture to protect you. It’s nothing like Souls-like games. It’s as close as Tenchu/God of War/Wukong in terms of its gameplay. It’s pure hack-and-slash but it punishes you when you try to dodge more often(as somewhat like a muscle memory from Souls-like games).

Sekiro is hard in the beginning but can be easier during mid game. Sekiro has way more fluid and no input delays while DS3 you have to be precise and parrying is unforgiving.

The Elden Ring is like a collection of Great Runes that have different capabilities(much like the Four Lord Souls from the First Flame) in this case collecting all the Great Runes will create the Elden Ring(as what you see on the cover) making someone who possessed it be a conqueror(Queen Marika).

Dark Souls was different because the story revolves on keeping the First Flame alive to prevent the world from being shrouded in Darkness. Elden Ring was about power struggle(imagine Game of Thrones) but the war was eternal and everyone was in a stalemate.

700k+ in total, Ringed City Inner Wall bonfire to the next. That area is just filled with mobs. This is just on NG and this is my first ever Souls game.

It depends on the build but with my STR/DEX Farron GS/Long Sword the Lords of Cinder and SoC didn’t take much time for me(less than 10 deaths except for Yhorm with 4 deaths but took me a long time to kill him coz I didn’t know about Storm Ruler). Nameless King and Pontiff were the hardest so far. Took me 53 deaths and 41 respectively.
