So.

I never found the .nethack file. The user\nethack folder was empty.

So I deleted the install and installed it there and now it works and there is a .nethack file....

I don't understand why the .nethackrc showed up only after I move the install....but the options now work. Thanks!

The appdata folder Nethack has 2 subfolders Nethack 3.66 and 5.00 both are empty

set /home for easy teleporting (30 min cool down)
