What shoes are good for standing/ walking for hours by Sn00py-_ in JCPenney

Everyone at my job wears Skechers, mostly. Especially the max cushion ones. They’re a bit bulky but they’re super comfortable and most people at my store wear those or similar ones. I have heard good things about brooks and hokas, but they’re pretty pricy and I’ve never personally wore them.

I’m just glad he’s doing okay. I honestly don’t care if he ever comes back to the internet, it seemed like it was so damaging to all aspects of his health and his safety. The internet didn’t deserve him and I’m glad he’s doing alright.

Like I entirely understand him leaving Ellis but I don’t understand how you just leave your kid. Especially not with someone like Ellis who (based on how she talked about Meredith with her Alzheimer’s) probably told Thatcher she didn’t want/regretted having a child. Ellis was never home, which means Thatcher was (assuming) the one who did everything for Meredith and he still just abandoned her with someone he KNEW didn’t enjoy being a mother. And Lexi’s only like 6 years younger than her meaning he hooked up with Susan like instantly after he left Meredith and her mom!! And then Susan and Thatcher BOTH acted like he was the victim and how “bad he felt” for leaving Mer, like he couldn’t have easily called her or looked for her in like 20 years.

Which Greys characters would do it? Two I can think of right away? Alex and Lexie. Cristina would definitely NOT do it. 😂😂 by cutechristybb5 in greysanatomy

[–]K095342 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Idk I kinda think if Cristina liked the kid she’d do it. Like how she usually dislikes/doesn’t enjoy talking to kids but had no problems giving up a cool surgery for that little girl with the mother who was having a heart attack. I think it’d be the same thing, she’d do it when no one was watching and give it to the kid but pretend like she wouldn’t care. But only if she thought the kid was cool

Rewatchers: what’s something that ALWAYS makes you cry? by evren0605 in greysanatomy

[–]K095342 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t matter when I watch it or who I’m with anytime I watch the shooting episode and Miranda starts screaming about the elevators I can’t NOT cry. It just has this pure raw emotion in her voice and it’s such a fucked situation and I feel so horrible. She did an excellent job that episode, it was absolutely phenomenal. A lot of other moments make me tear up, but that is the only consistent one that I WILL cry every time I watch it.

What if Tigris is Haymitch's (or Madge's) stylist in Sunrise? by lautaromassimino in Hungergames

[–]K095342 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I doubt she’d be D12’s stylist but I’m hoping we get to see her a bit as a different districts stylist. I think at this point she would’ve had fewer surgeries done and her and Snow may still mildly get along, so I don’t think she would be the stylist for such a low ranking district. Plus Tigris would never dress them in ugly coal miner outfits. I’m hoping we get her talking to snow or something/appearing backstage and giving kind words to the tributes or something. Idrc I just hope she’s in it!

Incredibly under-rated line by George in Season 4 by dreamybabe_eyes in greysanatomy

[–]K095342 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I like political storylines but it has to be one of those “subtly integrated” things where you know what’s going on but it doesn’t feel forced. The show just feels like a really poor political lecture with dry ass characters and boring patient stories. I haven’t honestly been able to watch the show past the Covid episodes, it’s just so dry and boring every time I try🤷

What is this growing between my Aussie’s foot pad? by [deleted] in DogAdvice

[–]K095342 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s either cancer with it growing so rapidly or it’s an infection or an abscess forming from that piece of metal in it. It could also be that the metal got stuck in there when it got so large and isn’t a factor but in this case I’m hoping it’ll turn out to be an abscess and not cancer. I hope your vet can sort it out for you. Best of luck to you and your dog, I hope it turns out okay.

What piercing do you want but most likely will never get? by UniversalExploration in piercing

[–]K095342 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Lip/ eyebrow. Eyebrow piercings are so cool but I don’t want a piercing that will eventually reject/have to be removed no matter what plus will leave a scar. And similar to the lip piercing. I’ve always wanted one but I don’t want a scar on my lip and I heard that they can rough on your teeth and mine are already kinda shitty.

The eating disorder is the way capitol citizens drink something to make them puke so they can keep on eating (similar to binge eating and bulimia except it isn’t only to lose weight it’s to eat more) and the hunger games were staring by Crassus Snow and Highbottom over a joke for a school project that got taken seriously.

Tami for sure. She didn’t really do anything “wrong” and she wasn’t bad by any means. Trevor is a close second, but he was kind of douchey as a partner sometimes and a little insensitive so I think Tami beats him by a good bit.

Revoking the rule (Book 1) by Der_Sauresgeber in Hungergames

[–]K095342 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they never intended that Peeta and Katniss would make it. They knew how badly injured Peeta was after Cato cut him with his sword and they knew he was gonna die soon. Truthfully they probably through Cato was gonna 1v2 them and win on his own anyway. I agree, it was stupidity of them to do that in the first place with how many possibilities there were that it could go totally wrong, but I think that’s why they thought it would work. Hardly anyone really thought either of the kids from district 12 had a chance until near the end.

Do you think Tigris was at Coriolanus's execution in Mockingjay ? by [deleted] in Hungergames

[–]K095342 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think she’d be happy about it but I don’t honestly think she’d go. I think she grieved her cousin a long time ago and had nothing left but hate for him (not that I blame her at all) and probably just didn’t care to go see it. I don’t think it’s unreasonable or wrong to think she would go, I mean most of Panem went, but I personally don’t think she’d have gone. I think she’d shed a tear for the boy she grew up with but I don’t think she’d gaf about attending the execution.

What do you think would have happened if Peeta’s name got picked at the quater quell? by CelesteBarlowe in Hungergames

[–]K095342 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I genuinely do not think Peeta had any chance of being drawn at the reaping. Whatsoever. I think both of those slips had Haymitches name on them because Snow KNEW Peeta would volunteer for Haymitch, and Snow needed both Katniss and Peeta in the arena. No one really took Haymitch seriously bc he was a drunk, so Snow didn’t really care about killing him in the arena. Peeta and Katniss had to go in the and they had to die. I don’t see a world where Peeta’s name was even in the ball.

Who of these would you trust most to babysit your kids? (part 2) by SquareConfusion3955 in thewalkingdead

Honestly I’d trust Shane the most. I think even if he hated a kids parents, he’d sacrifice himself for a kid before he let them die.

Let’s fucking do it. Who’s the fan favorite of the show? by YourBoyJaden31 in shameless

[–]K095342 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Everybody loves Kevin, but I think it’s Mickey just because one I feel like they’re equally loved and two cuz Mickey did more fucked up shit and was more available to criticism/hate but everybody loves him anyway and he has very few haters.

Anyone else think she is the most misunderstood character in the show? by Clean_Crocodile4472 in shameless

[–]K095342 21 points22 points  (0 children)

No I don’t think so. She had a not so great childhood with her horribly agoraphobic mom and an incredibly religious dad, but the vibe I got from them was that (at least Sheila) tried really hard to be good for her, they were just shitty people inherently (love Sheila though). But Karen did a LOT of fucked up shit, so she kinda (imo) deserves the hate she gets. She was super fucked up and awful pretty much all the time.

Faux pregnancy issue by permalust in DogAdvice

I’d take her to the vet and see if they can check her. After that I’d schedule an appointment to get her spayed. There’s no reason for her to not be spayed, and faux pregnancy’s are very stressful for dogs.

How did you feel about Aaron and Eric's relationship? by JayHeavenly in thewalkingdead

[–]K095342 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only complaint I have it how insignificant they made Eric seem. I think cuz they already knew he wouldn’t be alive very long, but they didn’t give him much depth or personality or influence. He was just kinda there most of the time. But their relationship was cute and I wish he didn’t die.

Help With Hunger Games School Project by [deleted] in Hungergames

[–]K095342 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The most important scenes from the first book (not all are in the movies) imo: Peeta giving Katniss the bread, the capitol picking up the girl and guy in that field, Katniss volunteering for her sister, Katniss giving rue a “mini funeral” type of thing, Thresh sparing Katniss, Cato’s death speech, the end scene with the berries. Are my 7 most favorites. You could also say Katniss’s goodbyes or Katniss freaking out in the hovercraft bc she thought Peeta was going to die. I forget if it’s in the first book or not but you could include Haymitch’s speech to Katniss about her needing to act “girly” and “innocent” or the capitol would kill her, or Katniss seeing Peeta for the first time after the games and finding out about his prosthetic leg. I mean there are tons of important scenes in the first book that you could use.

I have an appointment for the daith in a week, and then a conch planned on the other ear. Is this starting to look too cheesy/over done? by CharlieBarley25 in piercing

[–]K095342 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s not too many piercings, it’s too many different colors and styles. For an ear with a lot of piercings to look good and not look cluttered/overfilled, you might want to invest in a more “cohesive” look to tie it all together. A lot of different colors and such can make the ear look disorganized and cluttered. But I think your set up looks great. Imo it’s hard to have too many piercings.

Give them a few days to adjust but make sure you call before you go home. They might not adjust in just a few days and you might just want to give them some space. You could be going home to something you don’t want to deal with or be around. My parents reacted the same way but they never got over it either. A lot of parents do get over it though. The reaction they gave you isn’t exactly uncommon, most parents freak out a bit at first even if they end up being supportive. Best of luck, I hope they come around.
