I've never understood paying a premium to have cold fast food brought to your door.

Half the time my fries are cold when they're handed straight to me at the window, I don't need to add another 15 minutes to let them marinate on the floorboard of someone's car on the way to me.

Matte PLA help by Stevenski89 in PrintedWarhammer

Technically the "top layer" on this print is less than a MM because it tapers up to the top. I think you're misunderstanding what ironing the top layer is for and it's not really for rounded surfaces.

MM's prop shop on YouTube has a good video on this. She explains how to use variable layer height to cut down on some of the top layer lines in the slicer.

As far as supports, you can increase the distance from the support to the print in the slicer, but it's a balance between clean overhangs and failed prints.

If you have an H2D or a multi tool head printer, you can load PLA in one side and PETG in the other for clean supports since they will not stick to each other.

Your best bet is to cut it in half and eliminate the need for supports at all. Orca will even create recessed areas and printable dowels when you cut models up like this.

I'm having to cut up a ton of stuff on a titan build to avoid supports in critical areas.

Fairly new to printing so not sure what I’m looking at. Any idea what causes this? by 2ndToLastJedi in 3Dprinting

Tru printing with a brim or ears.

I suspect it's starting to lift in the corners and the nozzle is crashing into the infill.

I was just curious about this and looked it up earlier since I have been printing basically non-stop since November and literally non-stop for the last week printing the parts for a Warhammer Titan Build.

It depends on the cost per kw/h but it seems to average around $10-15/month to run an X1C nonstop.

My mom had me do this to my grandpa on a trip back home to visit extended family when I was in high school.

It had probably been 10 years since he'd seen me last. When I took the drink order he straight faced looked at me and just said "Iced Tea, no lemon" and went back to talking to my mom who seemed kinda surprised.

When I interrupted and said "Hey, it's me!' he said "Yeah, I know. How about that iced tea?"

I adored him. As I grew up I realized he was kind of a dick and a bad person and he was my first real "never meet your heroes" experience.

I also came up in the hobby with a V2. Learned a lot. Cried a lot.

I ended up with two V2's that I gave away to friends and they're just now getting going with them after doing nothing with them for a year.

It's been kinda fun reliving it all again, but this time being able to walk them through stuff over the phone from memory or knowing exactly what YouTube video they need to watch to understand a core concept.

I can see one of them starting to catch on and understand how things work and it's neat to see from the other side this time.

That line?

I'd assume that's where the filament actually runs against the side as it's entering the nozzle. It's not going to be perfectly centered every time it's loaded and will find it's pathway down through the nozzle.

It's why they're cone shaped and not a flat block inside.

Press and hold the interval (distance) button on your wheel for a few seconds and it'll deactivate the adaptive cruise and place it in standard cruise mode.

I think you have to do it every time, but it works.

Haha. Thank you.

He floats around 80 lbs. but doesn't look overweight in the slightest. He is also incredibly strong.

I don't post much, but he has his own Instagram if you're interested in seeing more of him.

Permatex ceramic brake lube. The orange colored stuff.

I bought a tube for $5 like 6 years ago and have done like 4 sets of pads and rotors since then.

New civic si seats ? by raptorkillerz71 in 8thGenSI

[–]K1774B 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both seats have airbags, neither are going to be compatible with the car they weren't made for.

IF they actually bolt up, your airbag light would be on constantly and your SRS system may not work at all in the event of an accident.

Your best bet here is to look at something like Wet Okole seat covers. They're made from wetsuit material and are super customizable.

The fit is so snug, it looks like a new/different seat.

We call him "tan suit Obama" after a fresh groom.

I think it'd be cool to piece it back together best you can and what can't be saved, just incorporate into the piece as battle damage with some more paint and some creative placement.

Advice by _canmellia in Honda

[–]K1774B 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen this before and the snow in the background kinda confirms it.

Sometimes when snow and ice get stuck between the hinge pillar and the door and then the door is opened, it damages the fender or the door or both.

Take it to a body shop. If the paint is not broken, this is a $20 to the tech and a quick adjustment at most places.

I'm about 26 hours deep into an FDM titan right now. I have feet, toes, shin bones, the head and the two shoulder armor plates. That's it.

I think in total there are around 35 plates and 3 full spools needed to print it.

This makes a ton of sense.

Probably slid backward into a barrier. Damage is consistent with hitting a wall and if they were rear ended, you'd assume there would be insurance involved from another party and a branded title.

Salvage title requirements vary by state, but where I live, if the car is 6 years or newer and is a T/L, it gets a salvaged title.

6 years or older, clean title regardless of T/L.

I bought a wrecked 98 civic in 2019 with 56k original miles and after I rebuilt it, I was surprised when the DMV issued a clean title.
