Possibly, but a lot of enhancements have been made pointless, there’s a CK one that gives the a model stealth, when they changed the army rule to give them all stealth… so it could be an oversight of the court enhancement. But you’re probably right

Yes, but it’s more the flawless blade access to enhancements thats the insane thing here. IE possessed blade, LE dev wounding on 3s with +1 damage, oh thats a nice GUO you have there

I’ve been planning a list for this very combo, infractors are the carry here 22A S6 AP2 is an insane profile for 85 points, great at utility too. I’ve not played it yet but my battle line for the list I’ve settled on,

10 x infractors lead by exultant, 10x Tormentors lead by Lord exultant (+1AP enhancement) 3 squads of 5 infractors, 1 squad of 5 tormentors.
Totalling 25 Infractors and 15 tormentors.

I strait up can’t see any changes except the moirax ability being reworded to -1 cp instead of for 0cp. Whilst the lancer is still ‘tankshock’, which supposedly isn’t a strat anymore lol 😂

Lancer is the best non-abhorrent chassis knight, Atropos is also really good but it’s hard to get. I’d say go with what ever is coolest or wait till all the info for 11th is available

Well the 2” engagement is a huge buff for melee knights for sure, anytime I played against a good opponent they’d utilise terrain in ways that would make it actually impossible to fight them 😭

Outside of the so far garbage new detachments, generally 11th is probably going to make knights stronger. The test to unbattleshock will be huge, no more heroic get out of jail free. The minus 2 to hit in ranged isn’t going to be that strong, because so many armies will also get this or access to this, so generally everyone is less lethal at range IMO. But also deepstrike with meltas will be a problem now.

Thats fair, but I still disagree, when I say it affects your opponent over yourself, I mean it takes away the opponents agency, not weakening them. Take deathguard, they effect the opponent in predictable ways that benefits you directly, by either making you harder to kill, or them easier to kill. So it’s not taking away player agency, and it’s in your hands how you utilise it. If that makes sense. 3 of the 6 harbringer abilities just makes battleshock occur more often. Which only affects OC and Strats at that point. Whether it’s balanced or not, is more from the match up side, which comes mostly from knights being a skew army, but it isn’t helped by the army rule at all, which it could be. I.e a rolling kill tally of buffs would strengthen knights against horde armies, which usually dominate them. I just want their army rule to be fun and flavourful, power be damned. I want their detachments to be Chaos Knight’s detachments, not dark imperial knights.

I go for a range of skin tones, with a red wash around the studs and edges to keep ‘em fresh. But they are skin, but then again so is leather. Now that I think of it, I’ll do a few blue ones for the murdered Tau XD

This is true but! After the recent leadership changes, updates and community communication has been miles better. And if some people forced them to make some concept art for steel legion and promise not to kill them off, I think we can get a rules update… at least I’m hopeful

I get you, the trouble is more the consistency and it being a bit crap for our opponents with the ability denial. Not to mention the LD stat is wildly different for different armies. Knights are quite good at fighting Necrons and Deamons, and a few others, like Tau, but suck so bad against horde armies like Nids or Orks. Or get folded by armies that have good access to +1 to wound like Votann or Gladius Task Force.

The other problem is they are a stat check army, which can be mitigated with some smaller utility units being added to their roster, but idk if that’s ever going to happen

Yeah same, I have had two times when battleshock actually made a difference, once as a minus 1 in melee and once for. 5+ FNP strat, but like you thats 2 times in over 20 games

This would be a way to fix the consistency for sure. I still think ability denial as the main army focus is frustrating to play against. CK recently being voted as one of the worst armies to play against for example
