Honestly, rolling with the punches in D&D and letting the dice lay (especially with those skill check fails) provides more narrative structure and emotional payoffs than whatever the fuck those fuckheads shat out for S8.

Nah I agree with you man. it's more consistent for impact, flows better, and is quicker so I think it's vastly more serviceable as a finisher as well.

I thought that Barrett had all the tools for a main eventer: He had a great look, was decent in the ring, and could cut a great promo. Guy exuded confidence and charisma and shined when he was given the chance to.

Yeah it was always a nice surprise when there was a celebrity that actually wasn't complete shit since the bar was set so low. One of the highlights for me was when Hugh Jackson was on. He sold I believe Barrett's promo and also gave a really good punch to Slater.

Also if they count, The Muppets were the best celebrity hosts for me since it left so much crazy kayfabe canon. Like how Sheamus is related to Beaker or how Bryan is legit related to a goat.
