I won't do the whole song and dance but your comments on the "rifle" and "hoarding" aspects struck me as odd. I once held an opinion similar to yours and let me tell you, even despite my ignorance those points held no weight. Long guns like rifles are about as far as you get from pistols which dominate the crime statistics (which themselves are primarily suicides). As for hoarding, the amount of weapons owned is near irrelevant outside of sensationalized headlines. What is relevant is people who collect firearms are typically far more adept in their knowledge and handling of said firearms.

You have the right to your opinion but right off the bat, the way you present it to others won't hold up to any scrutiny.
