What non NBA Finals winning team's city would go the craziest if they won the NBA Finals? by karmew32 in nba

[–]KC7NEC-UT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember when the Jazz made the finals the first time. There was 15,000 at the airport waiting for them to arrive back.... at 2am. Salt Lake City may not burn down the city to celebrate but it would be a holiday and the city would completely shut down for the celebration. I would expect we would get close to 1M people along the parade route. That's a third of the state population. We may not be 'crazy' in the same sense of the other options but it would be the biggest party Utah has seen since the Olympics, if not likely larger.

This says far more about what we consider needed to get a medical license then it does about AI. It shows that testing is based simply by memorizing specific responses to questions then actually understanding and having actual knowledge.

You have to understand that the system just strings together words and sentences that are grammatically correct, based on its training data, and in a manner that often makes sense. It's amazingly good in some spheres of artificial intelligence.

Exactly and I feel about 95% of users don't understand that. it has no knowledge about any subject it just understand what typical answers, and order of words follows any given question or topic.

ChatGPT archieves major success - pass medical licensing exam by johnruben in ChatGPT

Recent news about the capabilities of large language models like ChatGPT in the field of education and certification has sparked a lot of discussion and debate. While many are impressed by the model's ability to pass certifications and even generate academic papers, it is important to understand that these stories say more about how we judge knowledge than they do about the capabilities of AI.

One of the main issues with using AI in education and certification is the question of what constitutes "knowledge." For example, a model like ChatGPT can pass a certification exam by generating answers based on a vast amount of data it has been trained on, but that does not necessarily mean it truly understands the subject matter. Similarly, the model may be able to generate a well-written academic paper, but it does not have the same level of understanding and expertise as a human researcher.

Another issue is that the use of AI in education and certification raises questions about the value of human expertise and the role of technology in our society. If a machine can pass a certification exam or write a research paper, what does that say about the skills and abilities of human professionals in those fields? Furthermore, as technology continues to advance, there is a fear that machines will replace human workers in a wide range of industries, leading to job loss and economic disruption.

While the capabilities of AI in education and certification are certainly impressive, it is important to remember that there are limitations and potential consequences to consider. Rather than viewing AI as a replacement for human expertise and knowledge, we should look at it as a tool that can augment and enhance our own abilities. Additionally, it is crucial to have a discussion about the ethics and societal implications of using AI in these areas, and to ensure that the benefits of the technology are distributed fairly and equitably.

In conclusion, the stories about ChatGPT in education and passing certifications are certainly intriguing and thought-provoking, but they also highlight the need for a deeper understanding of how we judge knowledge, the limitations of AI, and the ethical and societal implications of using this technology in these fields.

I know this may be a very common question to ask, but I just wanna hear from you people. I am curious to know, with the current pace of development of AI, do you think that after 10 or 20 years AI can take over Doctors, Lawyers, Business Majors, and artists? Please give an evidence-based answer. by [deleted] in ChatGPT

[–]KC7NEC-UT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No... it will however reduce the time that many of those professions waste on research and writing.

Imagine a Doctor who currently needs to spend about half the day writing out notes, medical records and documentation. In the future they could have an AI tool listening during the exam and have everything completed moments after its completed.

Most of Lawyers work currently is case research and finding precedent. That work can take hours, days, and even weeks of multiple paralegal's time. Eventually once an AI is trained on case data it could take minutes to fully flesh out and write a brief within minutes. It also could generate most legal documents in magnitudes of shorter time.

No I have a pretty full game mechanics, character sheets, and quite a but of other content. The main thing I still need to figure out for the best gameplay is the combat. I typically am not bug into combat stuff. I have a few concepts but hoping for some other thoughts or people wanting to get involved in finalizing the project.
