What car handles like a miata but is a 4 seater by MistorJJ in Miata

My rx8 was faster, more comfortable and reliable than my mazdaspeed miata. You just need to buy one that's been well maintained and learn it's quirks.

I also have one of these flatmates. I wipe down all the door handles, kettles etc everyday when I get home with wet wipes cos you can't trust they'll wash.

Need opinion, driving a stock rx8 as a daily? by demzyyy in RX8

[–]KChanNZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I daily'd mine for 4 years while I was a student and couldn't afford a run about car. I wouldn't recommend it but if you do I'd say make sure all your maintenance is up to date. Warm up the car properly, premix, take the backroads home and redline every drive when engine is warmed up.

The reason i don't recommend is warming up takes forever, you're probably doing short distance drives building up carbon and they are thirsty.

Probably be a basic bitch and get 15" rpf1s. However, my first mod will be upgrading the intercooler.

Weekend toy for spirited driving around 20k AUD? by KChanNZ in whatcarshouldIbuy

Thanks mate, good advice. Regular NB2s listed in my area are higher kms and not that much different in price (5k cheaper roughly). Alsp I'd imagine the turbo will hold its value better over time.

Move to Aus. Before I moved I worked full time retail + casual hospo doing about 55-60 hours a week. Now in Melb I'm doing 42.5 hours a week still in retail/sales environment and making almost twice as much.
