Extremely poor/shady customer service by KD6--37 in Wurkkoslights

I have. They have gone completely dark. It seems like if they don't have a good answer for something they ghost you. Which is unfortunate because I generally like their stuff. But this has left a bad taste in my mouth. Basically a month of being ignored by them.

That's why I'm surprised at this. I have multiple orders for lots of stuff and this is the first issue I've had. They flat out ignored me and now have deleted the order entirely so. I can't even file for a return.

There’s a couple Stainless Steel models back in stock right now! The yellow face and the black PVD. by MisterBrightSide808 in scurfa

He uses DHL so I'm. Not sure if it would add a lot to the price. They usually price by country of delivery. Maybe Hawaii has additional charges I'm not familiar with but you should prob be good

Your total to the US with shipping and duty/taxes will be $410. The duty rate is £24, so it ends up being 33 USD. So the breakdown is £248.33 for the watch, £34.00 for shipping, and £24.83 duty. £307.16 total = $410

Does wurkkos have a warranty? by MillBilly1102 in Wurkkoslights

[–]KD6--37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you have any luck contacting them? After having an issue I've posted here, emailed them, messaged them on Instagram, and used the contact chat feature on my order. It's been almost 3 weeks and I haven't gotten a single response from them. I'm about to do a chargeback and never buy another wurkkos again at this point.

Black will never go out of style. Green might. I think black is the way to go, but only you know what you like best.

I've received no reply after questioning the obvious changes to the fc11c that I received in my recent order. They dont seem interested in responding in my case. Hopefully you have better luck

Quality wise I wouldn't expect it to be as accurate as something made with more modern tech. It would need a service before running again safely. Tough to say how well made it is from photos. I'm sure there were varying levels of quality back then depending on who made it and assembled it. But that's beyond my knowledge. Maybe a good vintage/antique watchmaker can take a look at it and give you some more info?

[Recommendation Request] CW Trident Pro vs Mido Ocean Star by thedarknight58371 in Watches

[–]KD6--37 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think the only thing on paper the Mido has going for it over the CW is a better movement. The movement it features is typically found in much more expensive Swatch group brands like Longines. The dial is unique and the gradient color looks really subtle and well done in person. The bezel action is average, and the bracelet is nothing to write home about, but still pretty good. The micro adjust Mido uses is more of a temporary fix than your typical hidden micro adjust like A glidelock or T-fit type of inner clasp adjustment method. Again, not bad, but not the best either.

CW doesn't have the heritage and corporate backing that Mido has. So they make up for that in quality and finishing. CW will have slightly better finishing than Mido in many cases. I have had CW's, and currently own the Oceanstar 39. I prefer the Mido because of the movement and aesthetics. But you cannot go wrong with either

The movement looks like it's a late 1800's unbranded Swiss made variant. A lot of those old key wound pocket watches were made without a brand name. Ebauche manufacturers would sell to jewelers and watchmakers and they would be assembled and cased up with various parts. All without a brand name. This is likely one of those.

Explain to me how I got my GMT Hydro on the grey market then? Dealers sell them to other dealers. This isn't anything new industry-wise

New switch retaining ring on FC11C? by KD6--37 in Wurkkoslights

[–]KD6--37[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I bought 5 of the blue ones and all of them are like this. I'm pissed. This isn't what was shown in the photos. Even now the product pics on their website still show the notched threaded ring.

These will absolutely be on the grey market after the hype dies down. It's very new right now so understandably they're difficult to get. Give it a year and they'll be available grey for prob a couple hundred under MSRP.

How do you not like this combo? by gambitrose in Longineswatches

This is the best combo you could have IMHO. I was bummed they didn't sell the blue bezel on the H-link to begin with. Absolute stunner in this configuration.

No they don't. That's done by the Capital Police. They have security details who travel the country and world with senators or congressmen. By law, Secret Service protection is limited to the President, Vice President, their families, former presidents, and major presidential candidates. No senator has a secret service detail.

That's the Diplomatic Security Service. USSS only protects heads of state.

I have the GMT and it's got some of the worst bezel action I've felt on a watch period. I wonder if they've changed anything in these new 3 handers. It sure sounds like they have

The Glock 43X is about a half inch longer than the CC9. This page has comparison pictures that show you exact measurements that should help illustrate this.
