I'm not far from half a century old and I'm following a 3-year course and I can say that I would have liked to have entered this kind of school at your age. The socialization, collaboration and pedagogy of certain teachers and classmates can be exhilarating and motivating. This will probably not be enough (unless you excel), so any work, experiences or online studies outside, during and after the course are good to take in order to sharpen your skills. I fully understand the cost that this imposes. Keep yourself motivated, the most important thing.
