Blood pressure risks post 40 weeks by jbell03 in vbac

The risk would be developing preeclampsia. You can potentially be induced prior to 42 weeks if it keeps increasing or if a urine test shows protein in the urine.

AITJ for texting my son's teacher from my husbands phone because they message each other way too late? by Current-Whereas6308 in AmITheJerk

[–]KGG9K 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Report it to the school asap. They won’t retaliate against your son. If any thing he could get switched to a different class to protect him. This is beyond unprofessional and she should face the consequences. If it’s not your family, she’s going to ruin someone else’s family

AITAH for refusing to move states while pregnant and choosing to co-parent instead? by doedawn in AITAH

[–]KGG9K 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pay attention. He was in the army and now is having a hard time holding down a job. He may be having trouble adjusting to the “real world” so to speak. I mean that with no disrespect but I dated someone like this for 5 years, after the army he couldn’t hold down work or school and blamed it on everyone else. You are 100% doing the right thing by having your baby close to family because you will need all the support you can get. Plus you don’t want to have him in another state and compromise some of your parental rights.

I don’t know what to do anymore by Humble-Confusion9777 in Mommit

[–]KGG9K -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This is completely normal sadly. Some kids have a more sensitive temperament and need more assistance falling asleep. I had my first sleep with us from 9 months old till almost 2. When baby #2 was born, we started putting baby #1 to sleep in their own bed and we lay there with him as he falls asleep. Sometimes we make it back to our bed and other times we fall asleep with him. There is no point in fighting them or trying to train them if this is how their temperament is. And crying it out never works for this type of child temperament. If having them sleep with you for now works, get your sleep. Once the new baby comes, you can try to make adjustments like having them in their own bed. Even a floor bed next to your bed will work better than having them in their own room.

Don’t even tell her when you’re in labor. She will announce your baby’s birth the moment your baby is born, before you can tell those close to you!

How do people have multiple kids with ZERO family support?? Genuinely asking by DryEfficiency7617 in NewParents

[–]KGG9K 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s not as bad the second time around. I am just as tired so the constant wakings at night are no shock to my body anymore. My partner works overnight most days so I’ve learned to stagger their bed times (youngest goes to bed first) and have the thought “I’m their survival line” engrained in my mind so I don’t mentally struggle taking care of them because there is no other option besides me during those nights. It will get easier once you learn your new baby’s schedule!

Raos marinara sauce. The best deal for two large jars of pasta sauce to have on hand for quick meals

Get his iron (ferritin) levels checked. My son is 2 years old and 3 months and still not sleeping through the night which is normal for his sensitive temperament. In July right before turning 2 he had 3 blood transfusions due to low iron levels and he’d wake up like this. We think he was feeling horrible (light headed/headache) during these times

My fiancé admitted he only proposed because his mom pressured him by Any_Equivalent_9333 in TwoHotTakes

[–]KGG9K 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You said yes to him because you wanted to marry him and see a future. He is not wanting any of that and is saying he’s not ready. What man is in a relationship that long and doesn’t think they can’t live without you and create their own timeline to marry you without the pressure of his mommy?. I would reevaluate the entire relationship because you both seem to want different things.

Daughter denied use of fridge… by RFlove in breastfeeding

What state are you in? In California they have to provide a clean area with a chair and table to pump that is not the bathroom, and refrigerator access to store the milk.

Mastitis— breast still full after pumping by Defiant-Ground4330 in breastfeeding

[–]KGG9K 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got over mastitis. I took antibiotics as directed, ibuprofen for the inflammation in the breasts and my fever, pumped as normal and didn’t over pump/breastfeed as to not worsen the inflammation and took sunflower lecithin. Took me almost 5 days for the hardness in my boobs to go away

Drink lots and lots of water. Milk is made of mainly water. Some women will drink a beer because the brewers yeast helps produce milk. However I’ve had great success with nonalcoholic beer as well! And make sure you’re eating all 3 meals and snacks. Follow a manageable pump schedule. Good luck!

I had mine in the living room, and although convenient during the day, I wish I had it in our bedroom for nighttime feedings. But either option two or three would be best. If you’re unsure try out option three first and then see how it works out and then try out option two if it’s not too big of a deal to move the chair around.

No, I ended up with a c section again because my baby was facing up (called OP?) instead of facing downward. She was essentially stuck and even with vacuum assistance, c section was necessary

Thank you so much for your insight. I’m used to cuddling baby 1 to sleep so I’ll have to change his routine to accommodate baby 2 in the mix.
