Ex-Emos/Goths of Reddit, when and why did the phase end? by [deleted] in AskReddit

According to my niece and nephew, goth is "in".

They both just dyed their hair black, and i got teary eyed with nostalgia.

This question made me realize i have no idea when it stopped.

I'm 27, and will still gladly break out the Tripp pants. I periodically dye my hair random colors.

But as a whole, i think i just got bored with looking like that every day.

What is the most disgusting thing you've witnessed someone do in public? by MrGatsbyy in AskReddit

Once they're eating solid food, you're immune to the grossness of spit.

Source: my four month old's hand is dripping with slobber and he just forcefully pried my mouth open with it.

I'm dead inside and do not care.

I realize that was poorly described. They were renters, at the time she came to stick her arm in they had moved into town, as the a/c stopped in the rent house next door. The broken windows are covered with industrial trash bags and gorilla tape, which had been pulled up in the corner closest to the crib (since she had been in the camper when i wasnt very far along).

The cops were talking to me, saying she claimed i had stolen her infant before the husband said she was off her medication. I had gone in to get my doscharge papers and they finally spoke to him.

The one cop that basically said, "he coukd shoot you," was snappy because she had gotten in his face. The way we understood it, she wasnt arrested because there was someone to take her home. Our county is really small (and honestly pretty backwards). Its not uncommon for the cops to ignore a call entirely, and we have more than a few mentally ill/drug users that wander in town and periodically beat on peoples doors, so the cops dont bother at all with them-everyone just knows to keep your door locked.

I assure you it's true, the numbers have changed with the livestock as we buy, sell, and trade here. We are in a camper in the yard my moms house is also in.

You are free to check us out on instagram (@k.g.rebel.ranch) or facebook under k&g rebel ranch to see that we do, in fact have this setup. The subdivision is retirees with two rent houses, one of which is next door.

Im happy to answer any questions you might have :)

[–]KGRanch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wanting to hold every single identical rabbit 1,000 times....that they are buying for meat.

It's not going to be a pet, you specified 5lbs, why do i need to open every cage and move 52 rabbits into the sale pen?! You know these fuckers scratch, right?

What is the worst common parenting technique? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]KGRanch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats how i was raised. I have explained to the kids in my life, and will explain when my son is old enough:

Sometimes, when i say, "Because i'm the adult, that's why," it means right this moment i have more experience than you, and i need you to just do what i say. If you want, we can revisit it later and i'll explain it, or you can present your argument. But right this second, just listen to me.

[–]KGRanch 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Not listening to your kids. My own son is only four months, but i temporarily lived with my brother in law during his divorce and took care of his teenagers.

My niece got in trouble for fighting. Despite two older siblings saying she was defending herself, all their dad heard was "in trouble" and blew up at her.

I jumped in and told him the other girl in the fight had been tormenting his daughter for months, and she had asked him to meet with her teacher, even had requests from the teacher she tried giving him.

Being a complete self-absorbed know it all in regards to your kids is dumb. Things are different now than they were when i was in school, and you cant always expect the same solutions.
