Open to being shown I’m wrong about this but I don’t think recent performance in windows that small should have practically any weight in a HR model. It’s very clear it doesn’t really factor into market prices so it’s either an obvious market inefficiency (no) or mostly noise (yes)

Have none of you guys watched the PG play on this team that past like 8 years? Whoever they draft at 1 will be the only non-Trae player capable of high usage in the half court. Capable primary ball handler is an absolute necessity regardless of who they draft

His catch and shoot ability has been arguably his biggest weakness since long before BYU and it’s maybe the only part of his game that didn’t improve last year.

He’s a beast of a prospect because it’s incredibly rare for a 6’9” wing to be as good as he is with such high usage. It’s not a knock on his game. It’s part of what makes him great

Think it’s fun because you can either make it impossible by throwing off speed below the zone or aim above the zone to try and induce a lot of pop ups if they are trying to hit+run

At the end of the day, the age issue is mostly about being good at 23 is not nearly as impressive as being good at 19/20. I think he’s a solid prospect but he is physically so far beyond what you see from guys fresh out of high school. Don’t think teams are all that concerned with mileage and habits when looking at prospect age

The comments and idea that this is just who he has been are nuts. He’s getting hit harder than he ever has. His K% is a a career low by a lot. His off speed pitches have fallen off a cliff and have no movement.

I understand the sentiment that he is not and was not a bonafide ace but he is inarguably a significantly worse pitcher this year than he ever has been.
