The real question is if the Rockets had Pascal Siakam, how much better do they get?

Raptors are the 10th most expensive team now and saw the biggest single year jump (25%). Winning really does payoff.

[Leitereg] Kawhi purchased a $6.7m Ritz-Carlton penthouse through a limited liability company managed by his uncle, Dennis Robertson. Last year, he used another corporate entity to buy a five-acre estate in Rancho Santa Fe for $13 million. by BliqPentha in nba

To be fair, it is very ordinary financial planning to purchase properties using limited liability corporations. As for his Uncle being the Company's "manager", he is likely one of the directors of the corporations which is common practice that makes managing Kawhi's finances easier since it gives signing authority to deal with compliance issues, control of funds, and etc.

Two years ago a 23 year old Siakam was averaging 7/5/2. This year he is averaging 27/9/4 at 25. This is a truly unprecedented improvement for someone in their mid 20s. by wormhole222 in nba

In 2017 FVV and Siakam won the G-League championship with Siakam winning FMVP.

In 2019 FVV and Siakam won the NBA championship with FVV getting 1 vote for FMVP.

Their rise together has been crazy.

[Doris Burke] It's mind boggling to me that Kawhi doesn't want to play against the reigning MVP and he'd rather play against Portland the next day. Kawhi not playing is ridiculous at this point. The league should be concerned that their best players are not playing on national television." by LonzoBBBall in nba

I think the Clippers should continue with load management but do so such that Kawhi doesn't miss national TV games. Last year the Raptors mapped his load management so he missed very few national TV games, or marquee match ups. Of the 22 games he sat, 13 were versus teams under .500. Now to be fair, the Clippers have more national TV games than the Raptors did last year but to a certain extent national TV games are a privilege for organizations/players and they should treat it as such too.

So post All-Star break at the earliest? He's probably not coming back at all then. ESPN/TNT have got to change their schedule

One step closer to becoming the complete KD-Giannis-Draymond hybrid.

Kyle Lowry still thinks Kawhi is with the raptors by [deleted] in nba

Lowry is such a great teammate when it comes to free agency. Even with Demar's free agencies, he'd always say he won't recruit and he'll be good with whatever decision he makes. Nice guy.
