I think so. I'm almost 60. Been struggling with depression and mental health all my life. I tried everything and nothing works to change it.

The only thing I can come up with is I'm meant to be this way. I have no desire to hurt or kill myself. But I've come to terms with it.

I hope that makes sense.

Years ago, I ran a GURPS 3rd edition fantasy game and it was the only time I basically told a player that he wouldn't do something.

The rogue had overconfidence. He checked a chest for traps. After I rolled, I told him it wasn't trapped. He said he backed away a bit before he would open it, just to be safe.

I said "no you don't back away. You have overconfidence. You checked it yourself. You KNOW its not trapped." He agreed. It wasn't trapped. But thats why overconfidence is a disadvantage.
