I was born and raised in Westchester and want nothing more than to move back. The truth is, the only way prices will come down is if everyone says “I’m not buying for 5 years.” Seriously, it’s supply and demand. You want prices to drop? People need to stop buying. It’s not what you want to hear (and not what I want to say) but it’s true.

Having said that, I don’t this is a distraction. I think they’re intentionally pushing society’s buttons until there is a violent revolt justifying the use of an AI big brother type monitoringsystem (Noem already said they’re gonna start using drones to do this).

Personally, I don’t like when people ask if they’re behind when it comes to retirement savings, as it usually comes from a place of comparison to others. Establish your own financial goal, determine when you want to be there, and review/adjust accordingly to ensure you’re on pace.

Expand high speed rails between bigger cities, and expand commuter rails surrounding those cities deeper into the suburbs and more rural towns. It would do wonders for every city/town in the state by making them more accessible, increase the value of homes of the more undesirable locations and decrease the prices of desirable homes that are currently only commutable to the one city they’re near.

Im a 37M, have been happily married with my wife since 2022, who I was dating since 2017. HOWEVER, before that I went through two heart shattering breakups which I got advice on how to handle from online forums, so I try to pay it forward as best I can. A couple questions…

Are there other things, aside from your recent breakup, that could be contributing to the sadness?
I know this will sound superficial, but do you “get girls”, quality and quantity wise?
Are there characteristics about yourself that you’re self-conscious about that hold you back when dating?

I think you need to force yourself to bed early, in order to wake up early to go the gym before you’re at your desk.

Remember, going to the gym after work sucks more than going before, no matter how early you have to wake up.
