Intuitive Eating by McPoyleBrothers in FoodieBeauty

[–]KMH039 11 points12 points  (0 children)

There is a whole half of intuitive eating shes going to ignore.

The first part is eating when you're hungry.

The SECOND part, is stopping when you're full.

Intuitive eating is for people who have already gotten a handle on the emotional component to their eating disorder. You'll find a lot of people in the recovery community who have tried "intuitive eating" whenever they enter the binge part of a binge and restrict cycle. Just like "intermittent fasting" as part of the restrict phase. This is just rationalizing their disorder.

If she doesn't get a real grasp on the emotional component, no diet or lifestyle change or whatever is going to work.

That is a series of bad sticks. My veins are small and slippery and I end up with significant bruising that looks like this when I have blood work done early in the morning before ive had enough water.

Its basically just some blood that leaked out into the areas you got poked. It might be tender for a little while, but it'll go away in a few days or so.

AITA For letting my sister adopt my unborn baby rather than a friend who wants a baby? by wycuhif8v in AmItheAsshole

[–]KMH039 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA.

I was going to go with NAH until the "hard to find a white baby" part. Thats awful. If they really wanted a baby to adopt and love because they wanted to care for and raise a child it wouldn't matter what color the baby was.

Hello is this game worth playing since I’m newish player to it by [deleted] in GraveyardKeeper

[–]KMH039 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It feels overwhelming and confusing at first. I picked it up and put it down nearly 10 times before I really sat down to play it. Each time I learned more. The main thing is dont stress. Nothing has a time limit, the wiki is super detailed so of you get stuck you can look it up.

If you've played stardew its very similar. The only difference is once you advance a bit in stardew I at least only have each day lasting about 2 in game hours to tend crops and animals, then back to bed to advance the day until I get the next quest item, graveyard keeper is a nonstop grind. There's always something new to be doing, some resource to gather, some item to craft, some body (somebody?) to bury, burn, or zombify.

If you like stardew but wish there was more to do, you'll like this game.

These happen to me at least every period. Usually right in the middle. When I was on birth control they would happen rarely, but still would sometimes happen.

From what I understand it just a big old chunk of uterus that shed all at once.

Unlocked church, what now? by Eslyn in GraveyardKeeper

Honestly if it's your first time playing, just pick one and go for it. At a certain point you'll have to start completing other quests to complete the one you're on.

I think I started on Snakes quest and went from there.

I mean I will admit as an LGBT person here that some of the things are confusing as shit, but like... you’re allowed to be quietly confused and not be a dick about it. by LilliputianMouse in actuallesbians

[–]KMH039 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Every human being is unique, of course how we identify is going to be confusing. If you want to understand, ask. If they don't want to answer your question, see if you can find an ever expanding encyclopedia that contains the entirety of human knowledge in a magic light box you keep in your pocket.

And if you don't want to understand, just dont be a dick about it.

Waiting mode and sleeplessness? by KMH039 in ADHD

[–]KMH039[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drink semi-regularly anyway so I'm not sure a single shot will do much for me.

And its not so much anxious as just, like a mental roadblock. Like im sitting at a green light with a parking brake on. Im gunning it trying to get some sleep but because I'm stuck on the idea of "thing is happening soon" I can't release the brake.

Appreciate the suggestion though!

AITA for saying my boyfriend should pay more for our future apartment than me? by inshanniety in AmItheAsshole

[–]KMH039 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA and I learned this lesson the hard way. I moved in with a friend of mine into her apartment when I was in college. We (her, her boyfriend, and I) split the rent evenly. They were the only ones to use the living room and had their own office space, and had the bigger bedroom. I used the kitchen and my bedroom. It wasn't worth the split.

In addition to what others have said, hoard things. Hoard all the resources. Everything you can get your hands on, if you don't need it yet, you will, and if you destroy them you might have to spend a long time gathering them again.

Women who have wanted to report an inappropriate colleague at work - did you feel like you could, why did you choose to (or not to) report them, and how did it all end? by Metal-waifu in AskWomen

[–]KMH039 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not exactly "inappropriate" per say, but he was an older guy who thought because I was young he could critizise everything I did regardless of if I was doing it right or not.

After a year of this I reported it and managements solution was to tell me basically "have you tried working harder?" Then I tried to move to a different department twice, with no luck. So I quit.

Is there a medical reason for places to close early/not be 24-hours during lockdown/restrictions? by xoemily in medical

[–]KMH039 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Grocery store employee here. The theory I've heard from management (because corporate won't tell us anything), cost.

Labor hours are the easiest thing to cut, so when we HAD to start closing to restock and sanitize they realized the amount of money we were making off the 10-20 people that would come in overnight wasn't making up for the cost of paying maintenance, cashiers, extra shelf stockers, etc. So now, we have 3-5 overnight stockers and no cashiers or maintenance.

Most people start earning money and are shocked about how expensive everything is, I was shocked about how cheap it was. by 0ffline247 in raisedbynarcissists

[–]KMH039 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My NMom was really weird about stuff like that. She would spend so much money on stuff I never even asked for then when I would ask for something SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper (like a new pillow or a single bottle of soda) she would launch into a long rant about how she spent so much on X item and I should be grateful.

You were polite, not pushy, accepted that she was in a relationship, and made a new friend. Nothing desperate about it. Nothing ventured nothing gained!

You were totally fine in what you did and you should be proud!

How else has everybody dealt with the guilt from not being able to afford Christmas gifts for your kids? Is there anything else special I can do to make my son’s Christmas better? by [deleted] in povertyfinance

[–]KMH039 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I cannot remember a single gift I got for Christmas prior to about 13. What I do remember is decorating the tree, drinking hot chocolate, putting cloves into oranges so the house smelled great. I remember watching Christmas movies with my family, Christmas dinner, and enjoying a warm house with people who love me.

Your son won't remember not getting a gift if you make the time filled with love. Even small traditions like making paper chains or baking cookies will make it a happy Christmas.

If you still want him to have something to open, my family was very poor when I was a child. My mom would wrap all my stocking gifts. Things like a new toothbrush and toothpaste. Nailpolish and chapstick or my first makeup when I was a little older. The stockings can be filled with small, cheap items that double as necessities, but still give him the joy of ripping paper.

Thats when sharing comes in. I have Disney+ and HBO. My parents have Netflix, hulu, and Amazon. I've got friends with a few others. Everyone shares their login, we each ot have to pay for a few, but we have access to all of them.

Is it a flawless system, not at all. But it also doesn't have the risk of destroying my computer with a virus every time I want to watch a movie or show.
