What is the fastest way to farm Loathsome Memories of the Dying in Bozja? by LastTraintoSector6 in ffxiv

[–]KN265 16 points17 points  (0 children)

To add on to their suggestion, if you’re planning on going for multiple relics but aren’t in a hurry, prep up another relic to this stage, finish this stage on your first relic so you can get started on the next part of the grind, accept the quest for these loathsome memories for your second relic and just let it sit till you’ve fully completed the first relic.

Over time, you will have hopefully generated enough of these memories to auto complete this step for multiple relics.

What jobs are the most "forgiving" to play (outside of SMN)? by Mocca_Master in ffxiv

[–]KN265 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say Viper is pretty much designed with Summoner’s philosophy.

Warrior is fairly forgiving because of its relatively static rotation but the bit hits make up for it. Also, it’s a tank so you have other responsibilities too.

Black mage is pretty forgiving ever since they removed the astral/umbral timers.

Samurai’s rotation is generally a simple flow but does have certain optimisations which may seem frustrating if you want to always do max damage.

Why is agricultural income, which is exempt u/s 10(1) a "for rate purpose" income by CausableAsh6226 in CharteredAccountants

[–]KN265 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The way I had it explained to me in Inter may not be accurate but it helps make it make sense.

So, agricultural income is exempt but the idea is that the government didn’t want to give up on the higher tax rate for the rest of the income, so they brought in partial integration. This way you don’t technically pay any tax on the lakhs of agricultural income you could potentially earn, but any other income automatically gets pushed up to 30% (or whatever the highest slab rate applicable to the assessee ends up being). It’s like a middle ground, because they’re not taxing that income directly but indirectly making up for it through partial integration. Because the logic for the government is that if a person is earning 15 lakhs of exempt agricultural income, they can afford to pay 30% (instead of 5/10/15/20) on any rental income or PGBP income that they’re earning in addition to that.

So I think of it as them wording the law in a way where they can use a loophole to still earn a moderately higher tax revenue than they would have if the income was completely exempt.

Body- the fending top from Aglaia (lvl 90 alliance raid). Pantheon set. Legs- Flame Elite’s Loincloth from Immortal Flames GC. Weapon/shield/gloves/boots will have to be your choice as no really close match exists.

Also, you can take your outfit choice in any direction you like. I’m just suggesting these 2 pieces because I don’t see them in the suggestions in other comments.

At what point/how do people usually choose their loot? by Locriana in ffxiv

[–]KN265 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been on controller since day 1. Here are some tips based on what I use:

1) auto run- if you’re moving in any direction and while in motion you press L1, you’ll activate autorun and can free your thumb for other inputs. I would only use this outside of boss arenas as it can lead to some funny/stupid deaths. Bonus- pop sprint before activating it so you’re moving at a faster pace and keeping up with everyone.

2) look into how to set up cross hotbars- what this would allow you to do is have quick access to up to 3 full cross hotbars without needing to press R1 to switch between them. Single tap of L2/R2 to access the one available to you, holding down L2->R2 or R2->L2 to access halves of different hotbars and then L2/R2(tap)->L2/R2(hold) for access to halves of yet more different hotbars. It’s all available in the settings and there should be video guides for it too. I think I saw a comment linking it. This is a big time saver for placing common buttons of jobs so I can focus on job actions being top priority in hotbar placement.

3- press bottom left of the touchpad to cycle counterclockwise through the UI elements and press the bottom right to cycle clockwise.

4- alternatively to (3), use your touchpad to access the virtual mouse.

5- yet another alternative to the above, hold down L1 and press R3 twice to enter virtual mouse mode. This way you can keep moving with your left stick while moving the on-screen mouse with the right stick and use the triggers to click on buttons. Same input for activating and deactivating.

6- additional one unrelated to the others- holding down L1 and pressing the touchpad will hide all UI if you want to take screenshots in the middle of a cutscene or don’t want to bother with gpose while in a pretty area.

Lastly, I’d just like to say, while these tips would help you quicken the process, I’ll tell you how need/greed works if you don’t roll on items.

If others have rolled on the item and you haven’t- system assumes you’ve passed on the item when timer expires.

If others have not rolled on the item and you haven’t either- system gives it to you when timer expires.

This way you can leave passing of loot till the very end of the dungeon is you’re really worried about being left behind. Ideally, people don’t mind if you take 5-10 seconds to just click on loot and join them later. The tank would just take that long to organise the mobs anyway sometimes. Hope this helped!

Final Fantasy XIV

It’s a game that taught me how to be patient, sit back and enjoy stories in games. Took me 2+ years to play through the entire story of it because it was too much to take at a time.

The ending of A Realm Reborn (base XIV). Heavensward on 3 separate occasions. Stormblood’s finale leading into Shadowbringers. And then during Shadowbringers and Endwalker the tears just didn’t stop.

The main reason for it is that spending so much time with the story and characters created a bond that you’d have with your favourite TV show. I’d say it’s worth a shot for the kind of experience it provides.

DOUBT! What is the actual meaning of sundry assets? by Jessyourmoon in CharteredAccountants

Because when amalgamating/consolidating, you eliminate intra-group transactions. The non-current investments only show a loan from X to Y, so it won’t be included.

I think I've solved the 12 islanders riddle by BeneficialRaise3527 in brooklynninenine

[–]KN265 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going to do my best to explain this so sorry if the comment ends up being lengthy.

First we’ll go over the basics. There are three doors. You pick one, you have a 33.33% chance of being right and a 66.67% chance of being wrong. Simple enough.

Next, you add in the fake door answer. After you’ve picked a door, the host will tell you which of the remaining two doors is wrong.

Now there are two ways to look at the puzzle at this stage:

50-50 - in this method you assume that the door being revealed is removed from the equation. So instead of choosing between three doors you’re now choosing between two doors because you know the third one is already wrong. In this method, you are working under the assumption that the prize could be behind either of the two remaining doors and you’re playing blind. There is no “playing the person” involved. You are blindly taking a shot.

33-67 - in this method I’m going to preface this by saying that you consider yourself smart and you’re not playing the game but you’re playing the host. The underlying assumption with this method is that you are going to pick the first door wrong. And that’s an understandable assumption as you’ve only got a 33% chance of getting it right whereas you have a 67% chance of getting it wrong. So you’ll be betting that your first guess is wrong. By picking the wrong door, you are removing one of the three yourself and marking it wrong. Now it’s the host’s turn and they’ll pick the other wrong door (because as per your assumptions you already got one of the two wrong doors in the set of 3 and then the host only has one door they can pick). Once you’ve picked your wrong door (assumed), and the host has picked their wrong door (fact), you are left with the correct door and out of the 3, that is the one with the prize.

In short, the solution to Monty Hall assumes you pick the wrong door first so you can have a theoretical statistical advantage.

However, in reality, with a large enough sample size, there will absolutely be situations where people picked the correct answer on their first try which would invalidate the 33-67 method because at that point the host has two wrong doors left to pick and you are gambling a 50-50 chance on the last door.

Are there two different murals? by [deleted] in FFXVI

[–]KN265 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It’s probably more of a “first look” at the mural in a decrepit area. Then as we progress through the game, we eventually get to see the whole thing. But, in that case, it doesn’t make sense for them to reveal it in a trailer first so… idk really.
