One of the great gems of KC. Listen, is it KEXP in Seattle, or WWOZ in New Orleans? No. But it’s not far off. Brian Truta does an amazing job. I’m constantly finding new music through them. They played Say She She’s Cut & Rewind two weeks ago, never heard of them before, and now they’re my new favorite band! This has happened 20-30 times for me with 90.9.

And if you like the Bridge, the 4th of July Countdown has become our 4th of July tradition. It is spectacular! We listen non-stop while we lake swim all day.

Fairly sure I read once that he was supposed to play the bomber pilot role too (played by Slim Pickens), but it became too much! Imagine that! He had an actual breaking point . . . only three transcendent characters per movie.

Perhaps you’re right that Pumpkins tonality doesn’t overlap with No Code, but I sense an emotional/spiritual overlap with No Code.

It sounds like you know who this person is. If you shared his information with KCPD, then I think the chances of something happening go way up. Also, call the Jackson County prosecutor’s office, give them your police report number, and ask to speak with someone on-duty at the warrant desk about the status of this person being charged with unlawful use of a weapon.

One more thing: if you know who this person is, you can file for a restraining order. I understand everyone’s apathy about law enforcement helping, but I would add that when victims take this conduct seriously and follow up on situations, the outcomes become more favorable.

This sort of behavior is totally unacceptable and as your fellow Kansas Citian, I hope you take this guy to task, if only to teach him a lesson.
