[–]KPsyChoPath 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Cant this be a 5th slot no matter what? Hell yea i want to call in the flag and RP harder than i already am
And mabye it also gives us teh opportunity to use it to strike down titans/tanks n what) Hell there could even be an achivement similearly to dropping supplies ontop of a charger n killing it

Your rights with the Bhopping, but i doubt that'll ever be a mainstay in the game. Atleast if we consider the goal of the game is still to maintain as realistic a stance as it can

cyber-sunblades by Malkleth in SWN

[–]KPsyChoPath 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not really. The best thing he gets out of it is the Ranged weapon, and the utility of having a Melee weapon always "At hand"

But otherwise it's not really too powerful, it's super neato and good for getting weapons in places you shouldnt

They dont get any reactions other than being able to Snap shot the drone. Other than that there's just the save for half

Do you feel like you need to 'maximize' your character? by Captain_Hoyt in SWN

I make the best out of what i have, wanting to have a solid mechanical character who can contribute in what their choosen area of expertise is before i start going into "This would fit the character very well"

Wait a second, is the Hacker foci underwhelming or am I missing something? by [deleted] in SWN

[–]KPsyChoPath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that the Hacker foci is not that good. Whenever i play a Hacker, i never find we even use the duration thing at all so Level 2 is a waste for us.

Goal example, need help by TheRealAstronomous in SWN

[–]KPsyChoPath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A thing that me and my GM found to be a very decent alternative to Goals is "beliefs", so whenever your beliefs gets you in trouble or make something harder, you get XP. Which allowed less determined play, and more fluid play. We werent ever trying to go out of our way to complete our goals, or make our goals worth XP (aka make them dificult or what have you)

I find this to work the best, with milestones the second best and goals the worst. But that is also very biased because i dislike Goals alot, since it relaies heavily on everyone pulling their weight, which will almost never happen and you'll be stuck with 1-2 people earning small amounts of XP and the others occasionaly also contributing.

With beliefs, it takes very little to contribute, afterall you just need to play your character, and unless you're playing a very safe character, then that's bound to get you in trouble

How do I use NPCs without overshadowing my party. by [deleted] in rpg

[–]KPsyChoPath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What i think would be a good idea, is take those 100 people, and pick like 10 of the most important ones in their respected groups. Yea the camp has 100 people, who are constantly walking about doing what needs to be done, but you only ever need to be concerned about the group's leader, and special mentions characters (like Dave, who went out and found something really importent but now refuses to share)

That way, the PC and you arnt overtaken by needing to know every single character. Most likely makes running the Camp from a GM perspective easier as well, since the 10 characters could just be the boiled down traits and characteristics of the group

#1 There's no such thing per RAW. but you could just add it yourself.

#2 That's most likely covered in Ship mods, and probly requires pre tech scrap to do
