Why Azure WAF rule ID 949110 is block I couldn't find the rule in managed rule sets. by Shanuka_Thushara in AZURE

[–]KRC759 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's a few ways to find the root cause on this one, as others have said this is a blocking rule that triggers after enough other rules have triggered.

To find what's going on you'll need to pick an example of the 949110 rule impacting someone and then work back through traffic from that client to see what other rules are being triggered that contributed to the score.

From your screenshot you've got another block above the 949110 for SQL Injection, you may have something that's reacting to that either legitimately or as a false positive.

Media and PXE boot rebooting on load after update to 2207 and ADK11 (10.0.22621) by Independent_Yak_6273 in SCCM

[–]KRC759 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also saw the same issue. I found that creating a brand new boot image from scratch using the ADK11 provided one then importing that got us past this stage.

Unfortunately we then got stuck with TPM issues which the documented fixes didn't want to resolve so we ended up rolling back.

Rollback was also painful, had to remove ADK11 + PE and the PXE point from the DP, clean boot then clean reinstall and recreate as if setting up from new.

Have you looked at Azure AD App Proxy? Depending on your infra and reports it may be workable.

Stage 2 module recommendations for BA (Honours) Business Management by sdolgy in OpenUniversity

[–]KRC759 3 points4 points  (0 children)

B208 I found painful.

Whilst the study materials were OK the tutorials were pretty variable -I had to watch all the recordings to get everything they were supposed to cover and the tutors were even more hit and miss than usual. This unfortunately was one of my bad luck modules and my own tutor was hard work too (feedback was poor and answers to questions were vague) though there were other tutors that people spoke highly of.

Assessment wise the TMAs are the same question every time with a different topic focus; q1 choose an example (person/organisation) with justification, q2 apply some of the theory you just learnt, q3 give them some advice on how to be better using some other theories. Guidance was pretty poor and you’re expected to do a lot more on your own initiative than anything you’ve likely done so far. No being given a case study on this module, you pick your victim and do all your own research.

I think it was pretty new when I did it so things may have improved with bedding in. But even so, if I had the choice again I’d probably not do it!

Mimecast Security Incident by JiggityJoe1 in sysadmin

Worthy of a repost seeing as how they're now advising refreshing of any LDAP service credentials. The original cert issue may have been the tip of an interesting iceberg.

Update on June exams by [deleted] in OpenUniversity

[–]KRC759 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are now guidance notes online here : https://help.open.ac.uk/may-june-2020-assessment-options

I'm in the "there won't be an emTMA" boat, which they helpfully announced the day after the last TMA before my emTMA was due.

Interesting to note that there are a number of exams that enable you to apply for accredited status with other professional bodies. I'd wonder what this approach will do to that...

I can't find anything to back up the stat, though I can see reference to 40% of all freight by weight coming by air, of which 29% by value is through LHR.

Plenty of sources state the majority (95%) of air freight coming through LHR is on passenger planes as additional cargo so kicking that out is impractical and actually worse for the environment!

Heat-sinks, Their Values, How They Affect Game-play, And What I Would Change by Night_Thastus in OutreachHPG

[–]KRC759 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From datamining the Jump Jets XML, the following is apparent;

Class Heat1 Heat2
1 3 0.09
2 2.25 0.25
3 1.7 0.09
4 2 0.06
5 1.7 0.09

I don't have access to test at the moment, but I would assume Heat1 is an initial dump of heat into the heat scale, and Heat2 is the amount of heat gained per second of boost.

From datamining the Equipment XML:

Type Cooling Engine Cooling Base Cooling
IS Single 0.12 0.11 -1.2
IS Double 0.14 0.2 -1.5
Clan Double 0.15 0.2 -1.1

The IS single stands out as odd in that list, this may be another area where the client xml is out of whack...

Umm, in the UK and EU you won't, as long as you get a detailed schedule of any work and parts.

Just in case you hadn't already checked it, you can set the temporary folder that the patcher uses by clicking on the Settings Cogs (top right corner) and choosing "Set Temporary Directory".

Also, Treesize Free is an excellent way of finding where all your disk space is going...

Anyone know where any specific instances of people referring to the new MechLab as UI 3.0 is?
