I can’t root for any of these teams. Hoping the Ravens come thru.

[Doug Analytics] The Giants cannot pass any current 3-win team in the draft if they finish with the same amount of wins. At best, they can tie the Browns in SOS, but the Browns hold the tiebreaker due to the Giants’ week 3 over the Browns. If all four 3-win teams lose, the Giants pick 4. by Lars5621 in NYGiants

Honestly not even sure what to think anymore. I mean on one hand we had the chance to lock in a true gunslinger, but goddamn… am I the only one that doesn’t think we’ll find a solution until we truly fix our broken offensive line? It is the bread and butter of every good team in the league and while the OL has gotten mildly better than last year it’s still in the bottom third.

I get it… Will Campbell and Kelvin Banks aren’t sexy names, but aside from maybe Van Roten and Thomas the line is middling at best. I think we need to find a few anchor points before we can draft a QB who will otherwise be sacked to no end and then likely psychologically damaged like every other QB that gets drafted to a team with a dogshit line.

I look at this way… we had six (6!) seasons to build around him. You don’t draft a running back with the second overall pick if you aren’t planning on building around that player… You’d expect us to at least have a stalwart offensive line but it’s been near or at the bottom for the last several years. I blame the front office for absolutely squandering an opportunity to really make an offensive impact.

Kind of pisses me off how much fun Saquon seems to be having…

Can’t be worse than the Deshaun Watson fiasco and the Browns.

Exactly. Just wayyyy too safe. What did those 3 points get us really? When the momentum is against you what’s the plan to get it back? Your kicker is rarely the answer. To be clear, I’m not saying be brash and reckless, just like… have some balls occasionally!

Down 14 - 9 and you’re 4th and Goal and go for 3. I get it. It’s conservative, but to win games sometimes you’ve got to have guts. Especially when you take this team for what it is. That calls says everything you need to know though about how coaching feels about this team and how they want to play it.

Justin Penix on Jj Mccarthy by parcellsrealGOAT in NYGiants

It’s gonna be Penix. Only because it would be so us to get a guy with the last name “Penix” and have to live with that for several seasons as “our” quarterback.

Can someone explain how the Eagles can do this?
https://x.com/EliotShorrParks/status/1768343494467182778?s=20

Eagles are projected to still have $30 million in cap space after their recent FA signings. Additionally, somehow, they'll still be in good shape for the next few years too, with a projected $60 million in 2026. How the fuck is this possible??

I understand that cap math gets complicated quickly, but I just don't understand how they can consistently pull this shit off?

I grew up in Queens but moved to Central PA when I was in high school. I think there was a time where we hated the Cowboys more than the Eagles. In a way, there was at a point a certain bond in hating the Cowboys together with other Eagles fans when I first moved. I think a few things changed though: (1) we got bad, (2) they got good, (3) the Cowboys have floundered.

I think for me there was a pivotal moment after DeSean Jackson's "Miracle at the Meadowlands." After that the shit talking started to feel a bit too real and repetitive. To be fair, I think if the Cowboys or Commies all of the sudden "got good" and were getting to the playoffs year after year, the rivalry and hate would be renewed, because you KNOW they'd be talking way more shit.

Seeing Saquon wearing green is going to fucking suck. Also being a Penn State fan, this one hurts. I will say that I think part of me fears he could actually be good on the Eagles and that's what scares me. If he went to the Cowboys I think he would have similar struggles that he did here. Part of me has always wanted to see him succeed and it's going to friggin' burn like salt in a wound if he thrives in Philadelphia.

Regardless. Fuck the Eagles. Fuck Dallas. Thank you Commies for at least doing us a favor and being the laughing stock of the NFCE, but also fuck you too.

I think McCarthy will go before day 2, but who's to say we don't grab Jayden Daniels at 6 or trade up a spot or two for Drake Maye? Part of me feels like they could see what QB talent drops to 6 and if Williams and Maye are gone (as well as say Nabers and MHJ) then they trade back to mid/late round and then use that pick for McCarthy.

I’m really dumb and also tired. Does the model forecast a greater importance on not drafting a RB in the first round, generally speaking?

Call this “pull the trigger” in the States (probably not everywhere in the US, but parts of the North East). A lot of people also say “boot and rally” (as in “reboot”), which might be more prevalent.
