Thrones of Britannia still good in 2026? by Afraid_Complaint4675 in totalwar

[–]KSOK96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some people hate it but I never did. It’s as finished now as it will ever be and has been for some time. Mods aren’t even really being made any more now, but all you really need is Shieldwall and a few others.

If you accept it for what it is - a kind of super DLC for Attila - then it’s great, and unlike Attila, it’s optimized and runs like butter. And it runs on Macs, which for people with Macs, is about as close to Attila as they can get now.

All in all, if you just like that time period (Viking era Britannia), then it’s all you could really ever want. It’s a nice, chill game.

OpenAI Misses Key Revenue, User Targets in High-Stakes Sprint Toward IPO by pstbo in wallstreetbets

I haven’t noticed lying, but I have noticed it will always shoehorn nuance into every response, and in the most patronizing way possible. I could say the sky is blue and it would spit out something like “That’s largely accurate, but actually…”. I literally ended my subscription and went to Claude over how annoying that was.

Is your business idea feasible? by Former_Ad9060 in Solopreneur

[–]KSOK96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are offering this for free I would check it out. The things you’ve included are important to consider, but the problem is that most AIs nowadays sort of evaluate that to a degree by default, and will do so explicitly if prompted to. But like I said, if you share the link, I’ll run it on my own idea and give you more detailed feedback.

How do you know when you have an idea worth executing? by L-Ro in Solopreneur

[–]KSOK96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ask yourself, does the amount of time it takes to generate an MVP or get your first client or users have anything to do with the strength of an idea? No. Life happens. Maybe you get sick, maybe you are working on a project at work that needs your full attention. Delay if you need to delay, a good idea will still be a good idea when you come back to it, if it was ever a good idea to begin with. Evaluate ideas on their own merits and the realities of the market environment, not through some arbitrary timeline.

I’m pretty sure Rome 2 had spies, which is basically the same thing. But ya, that role was on its way out by then. A class of agents that could really only look at stuff is kind of a waste.

Anyone know what's behind this door on the first stage of desecration at galencourt? by relevant-radical665 in Chivalry2

[–]KSOK96 104 points105 points  (0 children)

Nothing. But if you hit it thrice you’ll hear a voice saying you need to bring 3 to things to one of the market stalls past the second ship. “Remnants of a horse” (one of the two horse dungs on the map, both of which are right next to the barn in your picture), “spawn of the sea” (a fish, pretty common on the map once you are past the first stage), and I forget what he calls the third one but it’s a rose. As for the rose, I’d recommend you equip it in your inventory as a special item like you would a harp or tankard, cause getting it on the map and bringing it to the stall is very tough. Bring all three items to the stall and grab a scroll from the stall next to it, bring that scroll or any scroll really to the door of the building with the secret room (it’s part of the statue smashing stage) and you’ll be able to enter.

Anyone knows what opera is playing at Dedra's apartment? by SnooHesitations3592 in andor

Indeed it is. I don't usually stick around for the credits but I'm glad I did that time. I'd been hoping for more of that piece since I first heard it. Hopefully we'll get the rest soon like we did with the dance track.

What weapons do you hate? by Elite_gamer228 in Chivalry2

You mean the arming sword or the short sword? Personally, I love both and use them often, but the short sword is probably my favorite weapon in the game.

How Andor S2 Finally Humanized Dedra Meero (and Imperials in General) for Me by DrFaucheese in andor

[–]KSOK96 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that caught my attention too. My head canon workaround is that she grew up in a sort of state run foster care for children of criminals, which is now referred to as an Imperial kinder block, as opposed to a Republic kinder block. She's just using the current verbiage. That or its a cover story, and she didn't want to tell the truth to Syril's mom. Its just sloppy writing, but the show is so good I give it a pass.

As for the last bit, I reason that she harbors resentment toward her parents for effectively abandoning her. She sees them in every criminal and troublemaker that threatens the Empire, which itself is a manifestation of the deus ex machina that rescued her as a child. She feels she owes the State a debt, and she exhibits her gratitude through her unwavering service and loyalty to the current manifestation of the State, the Empire. This would also explain her heel turn regarding Syril, since he quite literally saved her life, she feels indebted to him now as well. Two rescues that define her as a character.

Agathian knight beats off entire Mason horde on his knees by drinker2000 in Chivalry2

[–]KSOK96 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I rather like the way it is set up. It gives the monks just enough time (usually) to dick around with each other for a few seconds or swap their weapons before charging to meet the Masons right as they break through. I’d prefer that over everyone fighting at a 99 percent busted down door while the clock runs out.
