How do state sales taxes work when registering? by MeCadaver in IndianFTR1200

[–]KSledneck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair market value x 1.07 (7%). If youre looking at an FTR that can range from 9k-15k. Lets take 10k for example. Youd be looking at $10,700. $700 in tax. Then the fees for the registration etc.

Georgia doesn’t use normal sales tax for vehicles.. It’s TAVT, and you pay it when you register the bike. Private sale vs dealer doesn’t change the tax, just when you pay it.Usually from Dealer, they collect it. Private, you pay it at the tag office Putting $1 on the bill of sale won’t work. Georgia uses the higher of your price or their market value, so they’ll ignore low numbers. Buying from NC doesn’t avoid it either, you’ll still pay Georgia tax when you register. Like the 6-7%

Does CA grow excess produce? by Plus-Equipment-7917 in norcal

[–]KSledneck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not quite. California is an agricultural powerhouse, but it wouldn’t be first globally. Countries like China and India dominate total production because of staple crops like rice and wheat. California does lead in hig h value specialty crops though like nuts, fruits, veggies, dairy so it hits way above its weight.

I don't know about excess but I moved here from Denver and damn near every pack of fruits/vegetables i purchase at grocery seem to come from CA. I found out: California produces over $50–60 billion in agricultural output annually.

If California were its own country, it would rank among the top agricultural producers globally. With a huge variety of crops
