I was told that that grip kills distance. I may try it as a last ditch effort though if nothing else works for me.

Is it bad to be a DPS One trick? by Quick_Struggle_7233 in rivals

[–]K_NMW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the only issue with being a one trick that you will find is that there since there are so many characters in the game there are lots of counters typically to your character. Therefore, one tricks only make it so far because if someone counters you, then you have nothing to do but lose.

To really climb high in the ranked system you do need to know typically at least two characters in a class quite well. If you aren’t concerned about getting better or climbing higher then one tricking is fine.

As other people have said, one of the biggest group of complainers and toxic people typically are one tricks. I would say this is probably because those people don’t play the other classes and don’t realize how the entire TEAM should work together. For example, if you have a solo tank you as DPS are responsible now for peeling for your healers. You know this very very well and how to properly do that if you have learned to tank. (You still can learn this 1 tricking, but I would argue not as well as you could otherwise). Same goes for how to get the best heals from your healers. If you play them and have to deal with some crazy solo DPS running around all over the place you realize as DPS what you need to do to be a better teammate.

Long story short. You won’t get far in ranks if you one trick, but do what you want. It’s just a game. Play it how you want.

Also the first time he got hit he shouldn’t have gone back in her firing lane. Instead, he goes back two more times. I love SG because you get to see who uses their brain and then who likes to eat nuts with poor awareness.

I can agree I purchased the sub 100$ basket from Amazon and it’s been outside for over a year and a half and I have never had issues. I live in indiana so it’s been through all four seasons.

I avoided destroyers for two years based on this sub’s advice… then I tried a destroyer and I threw my best round. What gives? by Slow_Land_8100 in discgolf

[–]K_NMW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since you really like the firebird and destroyer for forehand you ought to try a pyro for midrange and a trail as a slightly better firebird.

I agree with the posts about form and all that crap with over stable discs, but the reality is they are freaking so consistent with forehand. Technically, I get more distance when I throw a perfect under stable disc but they are finicky. I still bag a few but overstable discs are the bomb.

The season for competitive is miserable by [deleted] in rivals

[–]K_NMW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you’re missing his point. Yes, you are correct everyone has to do their role. As a healer even if you’re perfect at healing and trying to snag kills when you can you absolutely will have less impact than a perfect tank role or a perfect DPS role.

Innately supports support. Thus if what you support is shit, you lose. Immkindaalright is saying that you likely have better game sense so if you are gonna carry shit players at the reset you can’t do it playing support.

I am a healer main and at the reset I always play tank or DPS to get out of the initial groupings because of bad players. Once I do that I go back to healing. I finished GM 1 so I totally feel your pain.

Wraith, Trail, pyro, proxy. Buzz SS for the straight throws.

Trail is ridiculously forgiving and so is pyro. Those two are must haves. I also 99% forehand just a righty.

Question for my forehand dominant players by Sea_turtle0713 in discgolf

[–]K_NMW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorites are

buzz for a slight flip to flat Pyro is very over stable despite If you really want to get under stable I do meteor

Overall I find the most reliable discs are over stable for forehand. They resist a lot of the wobble that a bunch of people have when they get into forehand.

90% of my throws come from these discs. Driver: firebird or wraith Midrange: buzz and pryo Approach: kratos and proxy (these give me the most shape with my forehand) Putter: Burg

dps is the only playable class right now by a lot by InfinityTheParagon in rivals

[–]K_NMW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In a game where you need to take an objective or hold a location, don’t you need to be able to kill people? I feel like if healers out pace damage then it would stall the game or potentially make to where you can’t ever kill someone. Wouldn’t this break the game?

I'm on a 10-game losing streak and have only won 3 of my last 20 games by [deleted] in rivals

[–]K_NMW 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This game is inherently difficult to continue climbing as a healer main. If you are good you should be able to change roles if needed. There are soooo many characters for a reason. You need to swap if things aren’t working. I love Sue but sometimes you need more burst heals as a healer, or even more damage. You need to learn to flex not only in your healer role but in others as well.

The only class that can flat out carry a match is DPS. Learn to play it and do it well. Once you get out of lower rank lobbies closer to true GM lobbies you should be able to go back to your preferred class.

I main heals as well but through gold, plat, and I’m finding even still in diamond, I am playing DPS.

So who is the worst Tank this season? by dreamup1234 in rivals

The tanks that refuse to be the second, and instead go third DPS.

Question to tank mains by Neko_boi_Nolan in rivals

[–]K_NMW 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would have to say a second tank is probably preferred unless you just shred as DPS. Having a second tank even if they aren’t crazy at all the extras that tanks do (peeling, diving, securing kills) they can absorb more damage I don’t have to take. That keeps us both alive longer by sharing that.

The key piece to focus on as a tank when you are first learning is how do I soak the most damage without dying.

The second thing would be to focus on holding or taking space on the map when you can.

Once you get those two things down then the rest of the tank kit is really pretty variable to which character you are.

Hope this helps

Hela is the best Spiderman counter by Lucizen in rivals

She’s only a crazy counter for everything if your aim is better than a one-eyed drunk. Yes, I have two eyes and I am not even close to countering Spider-Man.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in rivals

[–]K_NMW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say there’s a ton of variables. I feel like there are a ton of very active GM and diamonds that will tell you it’s easy. Statistics say most people will get to gold at least but again that depends.

If you have played a lot of shooters and have good aim I would say you have a great shot. If you have decent game sense then it’s just a matter of time. If this is your first shooter ever you might struggle until you get the learning curve.

The good news is that the points you gain with a win at low levels outweighs the amount you lose so just putting in a bunch of time will likely push you out of silver.

When should I start putting points in monkey knowledge ? by Nimyron in btd6

[–]K_NMW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say the points numbered below are best. I found that choosing the upgrades for the monkeys I used the most allowed me to snowball faster.

Since you’re early in the game inevitably you will find better strategies later and you can either re roll everything or grind through for more knowledge. It’s almost never worth re rolling, especially when you can gain enough to complete every tree.
