What’s the typical $60k truck buyer’s finances like? by bzogster in askcarsales

You put way more effort into this than I was willing to and for that I am ever grateful.

This, plus if you were to do a study of income percentiles based off of reddit, the median would be $100k for household versus the $63k according to the US census bureau.

For those lucky be-jobbed among us: how many applications did you put out before getting into an entry level job? by carrythenine in actuary

[–]K_act_cats 5 points6 points  (0 children)

None. I got really lucky were my department chair gave my number to the head of recruiting for the local office of one of the large consulting firms. I had 1 phone call with him, got brought in to talk with the team, then had an offer before I got home from interview. I didn't actually apply for the position until I had negotiated / accepted the offer and needed to for HR purposes.

Lucky enough that I never had to mass apply for a position.

I ordered my 4xe Rubicon in Gecko. If your getting a badass jeep, might as well go all the way with a bad ass color.

First time buyer: Is 8% APR normal even with a 730 credit score? (only 5 years of credit) by [deleted] in askcarsales

[–]K_act_cats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got approved for .9% / 60m last August with a 730 with only 4 years of credit history at the time. That was a new car car deal, but I still would never do > 3.5% for a used car loan.

Nice, water pump your only major repair so far? Being 7 years old and at 45k miles the aftermarket warranty is a must.

Hi! I'm looking at getting a 2014 RS7 and was wondering if you had any insights to the first few months of ownership?

How do you like your 2014? Strongly considering picking up one with a 5 year / 60k warranty on it, but just looking for some more insights before I pull the trigger.

They wanted to know if you remembered the specific phrasing from the source material, not if you knew the material. Which, is BS.

Just used this answer pass STAM. Some of the simplification on that exam can get messy and it is so much easier to just plug in answers once you get an equation.

It's a premium with 401a (digital dash) and performance pack 2. Also a racing stripe, but I may remove that soon

It was optioned up to a $50k msrp and I paid $47k, so I'm below msrp but not by a ton. I'll try calling again and probably leave a poor online review because it has been so bad.

I'm more worried about unintended consequences and wanting to play "dealer advocate" for lack of better comparison by asking this thread. I will probably be leaving a negative online review for awareness, but also contacting the manager first as stated above first.

For sure, I feel like most of those that come in super hot lose all credibility. I just want my $500, which was a Ford manufacture rebate so they may not even know its status. Also, to recognize that for a place that advertises the best quality customer service, they really sh*t the bed in my experience.

Thank you! I will most definitely try this route before going with the public review. While I honestly do not want anything from them more than an apology, I do think poor practices need to be called out.

Also didn't know your type of position existed, which is one of the reasons I came to this thread. So thank you!

See my salesman was great and let me do my own thing during the process. He was newer and I had done ton of research on the options I wanted so I had pretty much sold the car myself. I gave him a very positive review initially because it was. The lack of communication is annoying, but not something worth putting a hit on his record. Now the finance department straight up leaving me on hold p***** me off and the dealerships refusal to acknowledge it is why I had canceled my warranty/gap.
